Zayn watched Harry stuff the food in his mouth ate without breathing in between and even used water to help swallow the food without chewing it completely. Watching him eat like that was both worrisome and satisfying at the same time. He just hoped Harry wouldn't choke on it.

"Take your time." He told.

Harry looked up at him and swallowed what was in his mouth. "I don't have time. I want to see mother before I go back to Valish. I am sure she has been worried."

Harry always had his mother in mind. He was very protective of her. Zayn didn't know anything about having parents, but he knew mothers held a dear place in many people's hearts. He wondered what it would feel like to have one.

Harry stuffed the last bit of meat into his mouth and then looked at him. "Why are you not eating?"

He was an ancient demon. He could last many years without food, so he only ate for pleasure most of the time.

"I am not hungry."

"But this tastes so good," Harry said with dreamy eyes, picking up the potatoes.

He chuckled. "I eat it often."

"Yes, but you can't get enough of things that taste good."

"True. I can't have enough of your lips."

Harry stopped chewing and gazed at him while his cheeks turned red. Then he swallowed hard. It looked almost painful because of the large pieces that he stuffed into his mouth.

Zayn wanted to laugh at his reaction but handed him a glass of water instead. Harry took it and gulped the water down quickly.

Zayn knew he should slow down with how he spoke to him cause he never had a male speak to him like that before.

Putting the empty glass down carefully, he looked up at him with a hint of shyness in his eyes. "I can't get enough of you too," Harry admitted.

Zayn was taken aback. He didn't expect that answer from him. He just shot an arrow into his heart and he knew it would stay there forever. That mix of shyness and boldness was alluring. He made him feel restless.

And then Harry did that thing, where he leaned down a little so his hair would cover his face when he felt shy. Then when he calmed down, he would tuck the hair behind his ear. But this time he didn't stop there. His hand went down to his neck, and he rubbed it. He had been doing that during the whole mealtime.

"Did you hurt your neck?" He asked.

Harry shook his head. "No, it just itches." Removing the hair from his neck, "is it red?" Harry asked him.

Zayn's gaze fell on his neck and his
widened in surprise. What...how?

Right in the crook of his neck, there was a mating mark. It was exactly where he had marked him the first time. How was it possible? He thought it faded away.

"What is wrong?" Harry asked when he saw the look on his face.

Zayn stood up from his seat and went to take a closer look. No, his eyes were not playing tricks on him. It was a mating mark, and it didn't look like a new one. It looked like it had been there for some time.

"You have a mating mark here." He said touching his neck.

"That is not possible," Harry said confused. "The mark faded a long time ago."

"It is there, Harry" Zayn repeated.

Harry stood up from his seat and stalked to his room. Zayn followed him. He went to the mirror and leaned closer, baring his neck. When he saw the mark, his eyes widened, and then he frowned.

"How?" Harry began.

Yes, how? He was also curious.

Thinking carefully about it now, Zayn's urge to renew the mark was gone. He had been so occupied with distracting himself from it; that he didn't pay attention to his urges. The annoying, painful feeling that forced itself on him was gone.

But how?

Zayn went over and took his hand. "Come, we need to see your grandmother." He said.

Harry stared at him, surprised. "You want to see my grandmother?" He asked.

"Yes. I already visited her once and …"

"You did what?!" Harry cut him. "You visited my grandmother." He repeated in disbelief.

Why was he surprised?

"Yes," Zayn replied simply.

"Why?"

"I needed advice from her."

Harry blinked a few times in disbelief, then his eyes softened. "Oh, Zayn." Harry wrapped his arms around him. "I am so proud of you."

Proud?

Oh, it was the witch thing.

He was still not comfortable with his grandmother, but he tried to stay open-minded.

Harry pulled away. "Advice for what?" He asked curiously.

"Nothing just for nightmares, let's find your grandmother now. She will explain everything."

Zayn teleported them outside his grandmother's house. She wasn't in her home.

"She is not here." He said.

"I think she is with mother," Harry spoke. "We should go there and I get to see the mother as well."

Zayn nodded, and they went to the castle. They teleported to his mother's garden since Harry wasn't supposed to be seen by anyone else. He was still supposed to be in Valish.

When they arrived, they found Harry's grandmother sitting alone at a table in the garden. She sensed their presence and looked their way.

"Harry." She stood up from her seat.

Harry went to his grandmother and hugged her.

"Your father told me what happened. I am so proud of you." His grandmother said, hugging him back.

Then she turned to him. "Zayn, welcome." She said motioning for him to come and sit.

Zayn went to the table and greeted her.

"Where's the mother?" Harry asked.

"She will be here soon. Please sit." She told them.

His grandmother looked curiously between him and Harry. "Did something happen?" She asked.

"Something strange." Harry began. "Look at this."

He bared his neck again to show her grandmother.

Irene leaned closer to take a look. "That looks like a mating mark." She said simply.

"Yes. But… the previous one was gone and Zayn didn't renew it."
