SLAP!!!
"Yibo!!!"
To say that the scene in front of her was surprisingly rare. Li Yang on the other hand didn't feel anything close to happy, instead, she felt bitter and sad. Because in all her times with the Wang Brothers, never once did they fight did or Hai Kuan the older one hit Yibo his younger brother. But now Li Yang just witnessed them fight, and despite her tries at breaking the fight, it resulted in Hai Kuan slapping and yelling the minds out of Yibo instead.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND ?! Wang Yibo she's not just your best friend but also your secretary! In their eyes, she's also your fiancé! She's a woman and she's just trying to help you! Plus Zhan's name wasn't the one we know! Zhan's known as his English name, and rarely went out of his office if it's not foreign clients meeting related! Looking back I'm rarely here, how am I supposed to meet, see, or heard about him ?! When you know that I'm just a temporary CEO here! My real branch is in Yunmeng!"
"K-Kuan Ge"
"I understand very well that your feelings are now jumbled due to unexpectedly meeting him. But bare in mind that I and Li Yang are as surprised as you are. At least understand our part as well. You're not alone in this situation, there are us too. Besides, I could tell that Zhan also must've been surprised about meeting you and Li Yang as fiancés, along with me as the previous CEO."
There's this tense silence after Hai Kuan finishes his words. Yibo crashes down on his knees, finally realizing his misses. Tears and the low sobbing of Yibo could be heard as the whole floor only had 3 of them there. Li Yang is already a crying mess just from witnessing the fight, now that Yibo broke down, she got worse.
"Go and cool down, I'll be on the 7th floor. There's a leftover project from before that I haven't finalized with the Graphic Design Department. Li Yang, you stay with him. I can't stay or I'll regret my actions later."
"A-alright."
Hai Kuan marched to the elevator and left Graphic Design Department. While Li Yang is now trying her best to comfort the literal crying mess Yibo. Gently she lead Yibo to the CEO's Office, where she sat Yibo on the sofa instead of the CEO's chair.
"Yi-"
"I'm sorry..."
"I know"
"I'm sorry. Yang, I didn't mean to lash out. I was just confused and there was so much jumbling in my mind when I saw Zhan. You're just trying to help... as well as Kuan Ge.. but there was me getting angry without thinking... I'm sorry... I'm sorry.."
"Bo Bo..."
"I'm sorry... I-I'm sorry...."
Yibo's cry went on and on as Li Yang hugged and pat his head, trying her best not to cry because she know it'll just worsen Yibo's state. Right now, Yibo needs time to adjust to the fact that Zhan's working under him, and that Yibo will surely meet Zhan more than often since there are going to be a lot of foreign client-related meetings in the future.
"Bo Bo... you've been through enough when you left Zhan... understandably, it'll jumble your mind when you met him unexpectedly. I'm not angry or sad nor am I upset. Because I can tell it's hard for you too. Kuan Ge also feels the same, we're all surprised to know Zhan's working here, and the fact that he looks happy now. But you do know that Zhan must've gone through the same bitter days as you when you left." Li yang carefully chooses her words as she comforts Yibo, knowing that with one wrong move then Yibo will be back to that day, the first time she met him after Yibo left Zhan.
Flashbacks
'Please drive a bit faster, he's waiting for me.' Li Yang said to her driver, now she's on her way to the Wang Mansion. She tried to be there as fast as she could, after hearing the news regarding her best friend, Yibo's condition from Hai Kuan that night.
When they reach the mansion's main door, Li Yang marched to Yibo's bedroom. Li Yang didn't bother to greet the staff or Mr. Wang, she hoped that she was not too late. But to her dismay, Li Yang opened the bedroom door only to find Hai Kuan crying his eyes out hugging the emotionless Yibo.
'N-no way...'
Tears ran down her face, as Li Yang witnesses her best friend, Yibo sitting on his bed looking so broken and emotionless. While Hai Kuan shook his head when he noticed Li Yang's voice from the door.
'N-no, Kuan Ge please tell me it's not true. Y-Yibo he...' Li Yang said as she tried not to let her tears out as she asked Hai Kuan over and over, hoping that it was not true.
Li Yang had heard from Hai Kuan that Yibo was threatened by their father to leave Zhan and now they're engaged. For anyone, it's like a dream come true because they're engaged to Yibo, the second son of the famous Wang family, the heir CEO of Wang Corporation. But to Li Yang, it's a bad dream. Because Yibo's best friend, Zhou Li Yang had heard and seen it herself the real deal of the Wang Family. She is also one of those who knew about Yibo and Zhan's relationship.
'K-Kuan Ge please...' Li Yang went and tug on one of Hai Kuan's sleeves.
To Li Yang, their relationship is the best. They're meant to be together, and they're soulmates. For Li Yang to be engaged with Yibo, didn't make her happy. Instead, she's hurting and paining, as it's not her place. Li Yang didn't take that place to be hers, it belongs to Xiao Zhan alone and forever.
'Y-Yibo... do you wish to have a moment with Li Yang ?' Hai Kuan said, gently letting go of Yibo's body. But Yibo didn't respond, he just nodded.
'A-alright... Li Yang, please.'
'K-Kuan Ge...' Li Yang whimpered and begged Hai Kuan not to leave them alone.
' Li... P-please...' With a small yet cracking voice, Hai Kuan left the room to his room.
Now Li Yang doesn't know what to do.
