Chapter Twenty-Two

'God, I know my family is the worst as you can describe, but please, just this once, save my love. Please save Zhan. I finally got his approval to pursue him and the twins. Please me, and the twins, Yan and Yin. We still need him. Please, just this once, save our love, Sean Xiao Zhan...'

Third Person POV

Everyone is in panic state. Zhan's condition is worsening, he's getting paler by the minute despite Cheng, Hai Kuan and Yuchen's attempts to help his breathing and raise his body temperature. At the same time Cheng kept his phone active, still waiting for Zoey's response. While Yibo still in distress in Li Yang and Xuan Lu's hands, all three are praying for Zhan's conditions and for Zoey to come hurry.

"Damn it! He's getting paler, Kuan Ge, do you have more heating pads?!" Cheng yelled as he kept pushing Zhan's chest.

"That's the last heating pad in the Kit." Yuchen piped in.

"Ge! The CEO private room!" Yang yelled out.

"Why didn't you mention that earlier Li Yang!" Cheng is so frustrated. "Help me carry him!"

"Let me do it, you guys won't be able to carry him." Yibo slips into Zhan's body and carried him bridal style to the CEO Private room. "Show me the room, Ge."

"The left side from the desk, just tap it twice, the door will open." Hai Kuan demonstrates as the door appears. "Let's go."

Soon everyone gathers at the CEO Private room, where Zhan's tucked in with a heating pad on his forehead, while Yibo is sitting beside the bed. Holding Zhan's right hand, Yibo continues to pray and once twice blows warm Zhan's cold hand.

Time is ticking, Zoey has yet to respond to Cheng's calls and messages. At the same time, both Hai Kuan, Yuchen, and Xuan Lu called the Gusu, Lanling and Yunmeng Hospital, in case Zoey is there. 

Zoey is one of the best doctors and surgeons in China, she could be in one of the best hospitals which are Gusu Private Hospital, Lanling Public Hospital, Yunmeng General Hospital, and Qinghe Public Hospital. Though she's originally from Davan, Qinshan, she moved out with his brother and grandmother during collage, which all of them enrolled at Gusu Private University. Graduated with flying colors, she quickly got accepted at all hospitals, but she usually spends more time at Yunmeng General Hospital.

"Any news, yet?" Yang tried calling Zoey's office number in Qinghe, but no responds, "She's not at Qinghe."

"She's not at Gusu/Lanling either." Both Yuchen and Hai Kuan said.

Glancing at Xuan Lu, who's calling to Yunmeng, her face suddenly lit up, she put quickly put on the speaker, "Zoey! Where were you?! Why haven't you answering the calls!?" She calmly asked.

'Sorry Xuan, I just got out from 3 hours Surgery. Also blame, the Front Desk, they didn't send anyone to get me or page me at all. Now, tell me, what happened? and where's Zhan? He's not in the room when I checked this morning.' Zoey's voice rang out the entire room. Good thing the CEO Private room is soundproofed, so no one will hear anything.

"Cheng, file a complaint under my name to the front desk that's currently on duty and all the nurse that's in charge of Zhan's room. Make sure to describe it in detail, according to what happened, and have them checked thoroughly before firing them under 24 hours. NOW!" Xuan Lu smiled but thunder clouds are around her head. She's definitely pissed.

'Cheng, make sure to appoint me as the upper hand who's checking them. No hospital would dare judge my checks.' Zoey adds in through the call.

"All cleared. They'll never be around any hospitals, except for small clinics or school clinics." Cheng gave a thumbs up. 

'This is why, you don't mess with the Yunmeng Siblings.' They all thought as they also saw the same aura on Cheng.

'By the way, you haven't answered my questions yet. Why did you call, and where's Zhan?' Zoey firmly asked.

"The exact reason we called you, Zoey. Zhan escaped the hospital to see Yibo, they had a 'talk' before he fainted. By the looks of it, he's getting paler, and his breathing faints by the minute. We're at the Wang Corporations, CEO Private Room." Hai Kuan quickly explained.

'WHAT?! WHY DIDN'T THEY REPORTED TO ME THIS MORNING!?' Zoey screamed through the phone, making everyone plug their ears except for Yibo, he covered Zhan's ears using his hands. "Quit screaming, Zhan's conditions first."

'Send me the location now. Haikuan meet me at the front in 10 minutes. Also, Yibo, I know you can hear me, so listen carefully. You're the key to Zhan's recovery, but since he fainted already, just make sure he's tucked in bed, and have his right hand higher than his heart, carefully make him drink right from the mouth or just put a heating pad on his forehead. His conditions will get worse without IV Drip, so I'm going to bring it to your location. As for you, lay down beside him and wait until I get there. I'll explain once I'm there.' Zoey briefly explain and then the call ends.

"You heard her, Ge. Better get down there now, Zoey's not the safest driver out there, but she's one of the fastest." Yibo said as he placed Zhan's right hand higher on his side.

"I'll get the water, let's go, Ge." Yang said as both of them left the room.

Just after the door clicked. Yibo fell beside the bed before he could even stand. Startling everyone else in the room.

"Yibo!" Yuchen caught Yibo's head before it hits the side table. "He's burning up."

"That's why Zoey said he has to lay down. She must've guessed what happened." Cheng said as he and Yuchen bought Yibo to the bed just beside Zhan.

"Good thing I came prepared." Xuan Lu gently put the heating pad on Yibo's forehead, "I saw one just beside the flower vase on the office desk, so I took it with me, thought it might be useful."

"So now we wait-" 

"No, need. I'm here."

Sorry for the cliffhanger and it's kind of short.

I lost 2 of my drafts, so I had to rewrite everything from memory. Which is hard since I just finish scheduling and drafting my other stories.

But in the end, I got everything covered for chapter 22. So hopefully you enjoy the chapter.
