"No, need. I'm here."
Third Person POV
The door opened revealing a calm yet pissed Zoey. She's holding her doctor med case along with Haikuan who's helping her carrying the IV metal bar. Li Yang just behind Haikuan holding a tray with warm water and some face towels.
Seeing Zoey's calm expression, everyone held on to their breaths as she glides in the room. Scanning the room, she asks, "where are they?"
"Inside, on the bed." Cheng said as he shows the way.
The CEO Private room is divided into 3 areas, the private bathroom just beside the front door, a small kitchen area connected with a dining table just beside the bathroom, and then through a short hall leads to the master bedroom, where Zhan and Yibo are currently tucked in.
Just by looking at their face, Zoey can already tell what happened. The 'talk' Haikuan mentioned before must've been heavy for them to look this exhausted. She's not the best doctors for nothing, she can tell Zhan's condition is dropping critically, while Yibo just entered critical condition.
"Sigh..." taking a deep breath, she prepared briefly check both Zhan and Yibo's condition before proceeding to put the IV drips. Everyone is in awe seeing Zoey doing all the procedure alone without any nurse. Yes, Zoey came directly from the Yunmeng Hospital only with her doctor essentials, 2 IV Drips and 2 metal bars, without any nurses. Not that she's confident, Zoey realize a fact that they're in a private room, so she can't casually bring random nurses with her.
"And done" Zoey gently puts back Yibo's left hand. "They'll be sleeping till evening, just enough for all you to explain."
Clearing up all the meds and essentials, carefully washing her hands. Zoey went back to the bedroom where everyone is sitting.
"Alright, spill."
"Fine. I'll start. Me and Yuchen were going to fetch Yibo to visit Zhan. We met Cheng in the hallway, he's also heading to Yibo's office. Usually, the CEO floor is quiet, but this morning, there were yells and shouting. We all ran towards the door, both Haikuan and Li Yang are already door with shock in their faces." Xuan Lu carefully explains as she recovers the scene.
"Inside the room there were Zhan and Yibo. Arguing about the past, they're clearing things out. Then Yibo suddenly screamed 'NO' and everything went quiet. Then Zhan after glancing at us, he stepped forward, slowly towards Yibo and cradle him in his arms. By the looks of it, they're exchanging whispers with quite cries here and there, Zhan was carefully hugging and gently patting Yibo's head." Zoey noticed Xuan Lu's voice shaken, "Then what, Lu? What happened afterwards?"
"I- I noticed Zhan's feet were shaking, and he's swaying. I thought it might have something to do with his conditions, since he's not fully recovered. I was about to approach him, where he suddenly made an eye contact with us. The next moment he fainted in Yibo's arms." Xuan Lu quickly finished her explanations as herself went pale. She never witnesses anyone so strong bearing the pain just for their loved ones, only Zhan and Yibo ever.
"Cheng." Zoey continue after knowing Xuan Lu's state, if anyone was born with a fragile heart, and that's Xuan Lu. Girl can't take any violence without a reason, but then her friends are technically hot headed, only Hai Kuan and Yubin were calm ones.
"We all ran towards them, where Yibo was trying to wake Zhan up, but then Zhan's face turned paler, his breaths were shorter, and he's getting colder by the minute. I took turns on pumping his chest as I was also calling you. Yuchen prepared the heating pads to at least warm him up. Hai Kuan bandaged Zhan's right hand it was slightly red Zhan must've forcedly pull out his IV. Li Yang and Jie were with Yibo, calming him down because he went into break down mode. And you all know what that means." Cheng calmly finishes the explanation.
Out of everyone, Yibo has the worse break down. He'd drown himself in negative thoughts and remarks, his past memories would haunt him, leaving him in a corner of a room shaking and crying, thinking it's all his fault and he doesn't deserve to be happy. The only one who can calm him was his late mother, his brother Haikuan and Zhan.
"Then, this room?" Zoey pressed. She has to know the whole story before explaining the deal to help them, because of not, none of them will recover.
"I told them about this room. But we're all freaking out, that I just realize it after Yuchen came out with the first aid kit. Kuan Ge opened the room while showing us the leads, then you know what happened. But we didn't know Yibo also fainted." Li Yang voiced out. It's expected since no one has the clue about the CEO Private room except for her, Yibo and Haikuan, but since they're occupied, leaving her the last one to tell.
"Yibo fainted the moment Haikuan and Li Yang went out to get you. Cheng and I bought him to the bed just like you told us to, and A Lu found another heating pad that we use for Yibo. Then not long after you came in, and here we are." Yuchen closes the explanation.
"Lu, the kids are staying at their grandparents, right?" Zoey begins, "yeah, since it's summer break, we'll pick them up next week." Xuan Lu said.
"10 days from now, then it's enough time for the plan." Zoey hangs.
"Plan for what?" Yuchen sorts in, something tells him it's not going to be good, Zoey's smiling. That woman hardly smiles, except for her family, the Yunmeng siblings, Zhan, Yibo and himself.
"Oh nothing, just something I came up with, to help these two hopeless rascals." Zoey continues with a smile. But her aura is sinister, sending shivers to everyone, even Xuan Lu who usually don't flinch to Zoey's aura.
"Why are you guys' pale? Don't tell me you're worried?" Zoey laughs,
'Well, none of your plan actually safe proof!' everyone thoughts except for Haikuan and Li Yang. Yes, back in the days, if there's some bullies targeting her brother Yubin, Zoey would be the one to punish them. Her plan was simple, but truth to be told, none of them are safe proofed. Why? cause the victim would've lost or broke a limb or two, which ending them in the hospital. Though no teacher ever questions her, because she's the best at school.
"You're not going to send the Wangs or anyone to the hospital again, are you? Cause the last time we followed your plan on Zhan's bullies back in college, they all rushed to the hospital to heavy food poisoning." Cheng piped in. Himself saw what Zoey add in into the bully's food. Those guys had to stay at least a week in the hospital before discharging.
Cheng's statement threw Haikuan and Li Yang off guard. They never thought the best doctor and surgeon had a sinister side. Usually, they only have bad past or bad upbringing, but Zoey? Turns out she had them all, from a bad past, bad upbringing, bad family, into a sinister side.
From there, everyone can see her blood shot eyes.
"Relax, no one's going to die. Not when they have me to patch them up."
