"Wait!" He turned back around to only see a glance of dark blue before feeling a warm embrace. "Thank you." Hawkmoth chuckled. "No, thank you. But I think you should go help the others." The man smiled and gently pushed off the teen. She nodded and in the blink of an eye the man was gone.

Gently, she lifted Alya and braced her against a wall, Carapace in front of her. "Don't worry, I'll protect her." Marinette nodded and rushed towards the two. The fight didn't last long, Natalie escaped but the other guards were knocked out and tied up on the floor. The masked 'heros' called the police and escaped.

Marinette had successfully moved back into the bakery, along with Adrien and her mother. Adrien was staying in the guest room until they figured something out. After all, the entire family, especially Marinette, was glad to have him with them.

It was Saturday night, the family was sitting at the dining table enjoying their dinner. Marinette sat next to Tom while Adrien sat across from them, next to Sabine. The two teens would return to school on the upcoming Monday and they were both depressed by the realization of how much notes they'd have to catch up on, and the amount of lies they'd have to feed their friends.
Adrien and her parents were having a deep conversation that she had blocked out. She sat quietly eating and her family assumed that she was still a bit shaken up from the fight. After all, she did get injured along with Nino. Though, it wasn't anything serious and barely any of their blood was shed. But truth be told, she was thinking about what Hawkmoth told her.

'If you want to talk again, but on different terms, you can contact me using this. Hopefully, we'll talk again soon.'

She stared at the watch, thinking about his explanation. Was he being honest? Or is this one of his cunning, manipulative tricks? He abused Adrien... so no. She shouldn't forgive him!

She sighed, this was hurting her brain. She's yet to understand how Hawkmoth's brain works and what his intentions are. Thus, this was beyond confusing for her. What if he was playing with her heart and she was being lead right into a trap? She shouldn't have let him go. The police might've kept him contained.

(... Sure they would....suuuurrrrreeeee...)

"Mari? Mari? Princess? Bugaboo? Mari? Princess?" Adrien waved his hand in front Marinette's face for a while as he hoped to awake his lover from her trance. "Huh? Adrien? What's wrong?" Marinette replied, much to Adrien's relief. "You've been staring at your food for the past hour. Everyone else has finished eating already but you haven't touched your food," he paused, making sure she was listening, "Are you alright?" The bluenette nodded. "Hawkmoth's still out there, we haven't won and he-" Adrien smiled, of course she was worried about something like that. "Shh. Eat, and stop worrying so much. We'll handle that problem when it arises. I'm off to bed." Marinette nodded. She was about to tell him what Hawkmoth told her but he had interrupted her. Maybe it was for the best?

She forced herself to eat, washed the dishes and went straight to bed. She didn't fall asleep but she wasn't restless, instead she just laid in bed thinking. After a while she made up her mind. She's going to talk to Hawkmoth. She pressed the button at the side of the watch and a hologram appeared displaying a tired looking man.

"When can we talk?" Was all that she could say, anything else and she might look suspicious. She had to figure it out, what is his plan. Did he really mean it?

The man's face immediately lit up in joy. "Oh! I mean um... Tomorrow at 6 by our old spot should be fine." She nodded as she held back a smile from how Hawkmoth was trying to suppress his excitement and keep him composure. He was obviously overjoyed. Maybe he isn't that bad? Or is it a trap?

"See you at 6..." She clicked the button again, disconnecting the call. She needs to tell someone... She can't tell her mother, father, Adrien or Nino... they'd definitely overreact. They'd never trust him, she needs to know if he was telling the truth or not. Alya... If anything goes wrong, if he was indeed lying then, Alya can contact her mother. She needs to speak to Alya!

She grabbed her phone and sent her brunette best friend a message before finally going to sleep for the night. After all, tomorrow might be eventful. Probably will.
