Marinette's Pov
Alya was ill today so, she didn't come to school. I walked down the corridors of the almost empty school, Adrien had to leave early because of some 'family matter', but I know he's just going and commit another crime. Nino went to check on Alya, so it's only me, as I walked down the almost empty school corridors and journey home. I may had already visited my best friend this morning, but I still checked on her after school. I scanned through my sketchbook for a design to sew. Lila's birthday is coming up and I want to make her something, finally, I found something that I think she'll like. It was a purse, not as small as mine but not too big either, it can hold quite a few things. It was fox theme, after all lila was very fond of foxes, the purse looked like a fox's head attached to a black strap. I got to work, finishing a few hours later. I placed it in a white box and begun to wrap it, when a tap was heard. "It's open!" I continued to wrap the round box in a blue and white striped paper. "Good night, purrincess," I ignored him, trying to finish what I was doing. "What's more important than mew?" He poked his face in front of mine to see, only for me to push him out of the way. "Nothing much," I attached the bow and wrote "to: Lila, from: Marinette" Leaving it on my desk, I walked over to Chat who sat on my bed puzzled. I giggled and pulled a paper bag out of my backpack. "Lila's birthday is in two days, I was making her a present," I handed him the bag and his face lit up. Plagg hopped unto his lap curling into a ball, while tikki rubbed against my legs. "You're forgiven," his words came out in a muffle since his mouth was full with macaroons. "Who'd you kill know?" His eyes widened as he swallowed the food in his mouth. "N-no one!" His stuttering told me right away that he was lying. "Really? Then why did you leave so early? And don't even think about saying a family matter?" I folded my arms waiting for an answer. "Uh...fine, I had to kill some woman named Sylene Gonez, a cop that found our lair" he said it so quietly that I barely understood. Sitting down, I smiled a reassuring smile. "One more question if you don't mind," He nodded giving permission for me to ask. "Is Nino, the bubbler?" He looked at me, a smile appearing on his face before growing into a smirk, "Maybe." So that's how Nino knows him, they're both criminals... "But he prefer to stay in the low ranks, less missions and no killing, only robberies, every once in a while. He can have a life of his own, he can have Alya," Chat sighed, he didn't really want to be a criminal, he wanted a normal life but his 'father' is the mastermind, so he's basically just doing whatever his father tells him to without questioning. Kinda like a robot but I understand what he's going through. We talked for a while before he left and I went to sleep. I yawned, as I begun to wake up. But quickly opened my eyes as I realized that a cloth was covering my mouth. Looking around the dark room, I spotted, a table with my belongings, half way across the room. My eyes squinted as they searched the room, adjusting to the surrounding darkness. It was obvious, I was kidnapped, but why? Don't tell me that- no! He wouldn't dare leave me alone... I sighed, relieved. My eyes landed on a window, I can't use that as a way out... it's too far from me. The walls of the room looked like wood, but if you payed keen attention, one would realize that's just the paint, it was metallic. The sound emerging from it, though extremely quiet, told me that it had electricity passing through them. I didn't struggle to get loose, it would just notify the kidnapper that I'm awake, plus I can't escape from chains, I'm not THAT strong. This person did an awful job at chaining me. They chained my knees and elbows and it was slackly done, not slack enough to escape, but slack enough for me to be able to move my legs a bit. My head snapped towards a wooden door, as the sound of a door knob turning. Hanging my leg low and calming my breathing, I pretended to sleep, listening very carefully for sounds, to be able to interpret what was really happening. "Chat's girlfriend... never thought he would have gotten one... finally a weakness!" The voice was deep indicating that the person was male. He groaned. "Gee, this girl is a real napper, how could she NOT wake up by now?!" The guy thought out loud. Great... now I'll have to pretend to wake up. Ugh! I groaned a bit (fake of course) and fluttered my eyes open. "Help!" Of course my scream was muffled by the cloth. "Scream all you want little girl, no one can hear you. He pulled a phone out of his pocket, MY phone! "Now let's get down to business, shall we?" He scrolled through it, searching for something. "Where is it?!" I tilted my head in confusion. Where is what? "Where's your 'boyfriend's' number?!" Using my tongue I pushed the cloth off of my lips. Hope, it was clean, yuck! I shrugged my shoulders. Good thing I saved his number as Adrien! "If I knew his number, I'd know his identity," His eyes widened in disbelief, just what I want. Why don't I have some fun? Get him a bit angry before escaping? "So you're telling me that you are dating someone who you don't really know?" I nodded in agreement. "Stupid teens," he mumbled but I heard. "First of all, I don't need to know his identity to love him and secondly not all teens are stupid, sir!" He glared at me, inspecting me for a bit, before smirking, "No wonder he likes you, you're feisty, yet..." he thought for the correct word, "polite." I smiled. "Now, can you do me a favour?" I nodded, once again. "What's Chat number?" He smiled, a sickly smile. "Or you don't know that too?" He mumbled under his breath, but it still reached my ears. "That's easy," I ignored what he said and called out a random number. "Thank you young lady," the man dialed the number and I held back a giggle as it rung. Finally, someone picked up, he placed it on speaker. "Hello?" I struggled to hold back the laugh that was trying it's best to get out. "Hello dear, what may I help you with?" The person on the other line asked, a female voice, sounded rather old too. "Uh..." he glared at me and I just burst out laughing in return. "S-sorry I think I have the wrong number," the person chuckled. "That's okay, enjoy your day! Hope you get through to who you are trying to get," the call was disconnected. "What was that?!" I continued to laugh as if I had not heard him. "Is this all a game to you?!" I smiled playfully. "Maybe..." he looked as though he'd explode if I said another word. "Fine, give me Chat's REAL number!" I frowned. "You didn't say the magic word!" I behaved like a child, irritating the kidnapper. "Please?" He took a deep breath. "Okay," I called the real number and he typed it into his phone. It rung about three times before Chat picked up. "Yes?" The guy in front of me pulled his hands into fists. They talked not too long until, he came over to me. "Say something," he demanded. "I'm fine!" The guy's head snapped towards the phone, "NO SHE'S NOT!!!" He cut the phone off. Flicking on the lights he sat in front of me. The guy wore a hood, so I could not have seen his face properly, but I saw very dark green strands of hair that fell unto his face. He wore an orange shirt with a black wheel (those found in clocks) in the middle and a 3/4 black jeans. "Why'd you say that your fine?" I chuckled, stupid. "So, he wouldn't worry?" I sounded more as though I was asking a question instead of answering one. "Weird girl," a mumble was heard. "What are you even going to do? Chat's going to be here soon, and when he's here, you'll be sorry!" I need to know the plan, it's obvious he's planning to shock him but what about the window and door? "Oh, little girl~" I slightly growled at what he called me. "Chat can't save you, he'll be shot," I glanced over to the door, looking closely. I don't- A STRING?! Keenly, my eyes followed the string all the way to something in the shadows, squinting, I was able to see what it was, a gun, containing a sleeping dose...same for the window. "You know, I'm hungry..." The guy groaned. "So?" Well, I do need to get out of these chains... "So, I'll tell you Chat's identity if you get me some food. And you can't kill me!" The guy smirked. "Sure thing, little girl, we have a deal," he walked out the door and returned minutes later with a bowl of food, I must admit, it smelled great! But I knew to NEVER eat from your kidnapper, it could be poisoned, you never know. "Thanks," he looked at my chains, before walking towards me. He bent over, a few inches from my face and dipped the spoon in the food. I silently took the keys of his belt and as quietly as possible, I unlocked my chains, the spoon of food directly infront of my face. Maybe...maybe just one spo- NO! Don't eat it!. I used the element of surprise and kicked him against a nearby wall, his back collided with the electrical material. He shook and screamed as he fell to the ground. Using this to my advantage I slid across the floor and hiding behind a wall. A few shots were fired, each missing me. I ducked grabbing the gun, only one bullet...I can't miss. Another portion of gunshots were dodged successfully. He had to reload his gun and that's when I took my chance. "You kidnapped the wrong girl," a smirk formed on my lips as I pulled the trigger. Silence and my laughter was all that could be heard. I dropped the gun and collected the one by the window, chained the kidnapper up and then waited for chat. Soon enough he arrived to find a knocked out guy chained up and a Marinette with a smirk on her face. "Took you long enough!" I grabbed my stuff and headed home as Chat took the guy to his headquarters. Soon, I was fast asleep, at home in my comfy bed.
