Marinette's Pov
Since the kidnap, Adrien's been worried sick. He's always checking on me, always making sure that I was okay, following me as Chat whenever he can't as Adrien and always calling during the night. It's kinda getting me upset. I know it's because he cares, but I can take care of myself! I got dressed, I'll talk to him today. My phone rang and I answered it. "ARE YOU OKAY?!" An alarmed Adrien asked. "Yes, I'm fine..." I sighed, disconnecting the call. See what I'm talking about? I grabbed my backpack, placing my sketch book and some stationery inside, along with Lila's gift and a box of treats, some balloons and a banner saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!'. I put on my bag and slipped my flats on. Saying goodbye to my parents (adoptive), I grabbed a cake I baked and decorated, with the help of my class, in some way or another and headed to school, the cake in a box. I quickly made it to my locker and packed the stuff inside. Everyone in my class gathered around me, everyone except Lila, Chloe and Sabrina. "Ok guys, remember the plan!" Alya said we all nodded and headed to class. The school day went by quickly and soon enough we were at a banquet hall that we all paid for, together. Rose, Juleka and Alix kept Lila busy while the rest of us decorated the place. When we were finish, Mylene made up an excuse for her to come to the banquet hall. She was so surprised and happy that she cried. We all enjoyed the party, afterwards we cleaned up and left. "Lila! Wait!" I shouted for the brown haired girl as she walked towards the gate. She turned around waiting for me, as I ran up to her. "Thanks for the party," I panted, catching my breath. "It was actually Nathaniel's idea," she smiled, a blush creeping unto her face. Recently, I setted Nathaniel and her up, so now their dating. "Anyways, here," I handed her the box and walked off. I waited for my kitty cat at home. "Hello, purrincess," I jumped kicking him and screaming, before almost instantly realizing that it was Chat. "I'm so sorry!" I looked at him, apparently I kicked him in the stomach. "It's okay," he reassured. "But why always the stomach?" He whispered, I barely heard it. "We need to talk," we sat down on my bed. "Look, I know that it's because you care, but you have to stop being so worried, I can take care of myself, I can't take seeing you like this, so vulnerable... I'll be fine, and if something do happen, I know that you'll save me..." I smiled cupping his cheek. "Unless, you know, I escape first," "Sorry," He stared into my bluebell eyes, both of us leaning in almost lips touching, when his phone ringed. He stared at the screen groaning, before placing it in his pocket once again.  "Nino," was all he said. "Oh, so...what happened with the kidnapper?" His eyes sparkled and his face lit up. "Father really was pleased, of course I had to lie though..." his happy expression was replaced with a sad one. "That's okay," he looked at me tears streaming down his face. "What's wrong?" My  voice was filled with worry, as I wiped his tears away. "I'm so glad to have someone like you..." he hugged me, tight. "I don't know what I'd do without you, I love you..." My heart ached to see him like this. "Shh, everything will be just fine," I comforted him for the next minutes, before he left and I got some sleep.
