Lilystar's Demise

Chapter 2

Lilykit woke up to her sister kicking her off the nest. It's been 6 moons since Lilykit opened her eyes. Lilykit yawned, "I can't wait to be an apprentice" She whispered as she crept around the nests and squeezed out of the nursery den. All of the warriors were still asleep but the breeze was nice. It felt much better outside of the nursery. Stormbreeze had her kits 5 moons ago, she has a kit named Honeykit for her honey colored pelt, and a kit named Spikekit. Lilykit yawned as she fell asleep outside of the nursery. "Lilykit wake up" she felt Hazelkit push her to wake her up. She rose and stretched. Hazelkit flicked her tail toward Calicostar talking to his deputy, Longclaw. "They will be starting our apprentice ceremony soon" Hazelkit said making her way toward Honeykit and Spikekit. Spikekit looked up at Hazelkit, "How are you taller than me I'm 5 moons old" Spikekit said fiercely. "Because I'm 6 moons old" Hazelkit said. "All cats strong enough to swim the rivers currents gather beneath the high rock for a clan meeting!" Calicostar's voice echoed throughout camp. Lilykit and Hazelkit hurried right under the high rock. "Today Riverclan will be training two new apprentices!" Calicostar began. "Hazelkit!" Hazelkit's ears pricked. "From this day fourth until you receive your warrior name you shall be known as Hazelpaw!" Calicostar said as the clan started chanting her name. "Hazelpaw! Hazelpaw!" Calicostar looked around camp. "Snowpelt do you promise to pass on what you have learned from your mentor to Hazelpaw?" Calicostar asked Snowpelt. "I promise" Snowpelt said smiling. Lilykit watched Hazelpaw walk over to her new mentor and sit next to her. "Lilykit!" Calicostar said firmly making Lilykit look back over at Calicostar. "From this day fourth until you receive your warrior name you shall be know as Lilypaw!" Calicostar looked around camp and narrowed his eyes as the clan chanted Lilypaw's name. "Lilypaw! Lilypaw!" "Muddyoak do you promise to pass on what you have learned from your mentor to Lilypaw?" Calicostar asked Muddyoak. "I promise" Muddyoak said bowing her head. Lilypaw stood and sat by her new mentor. Calicostar looked around at the apprentices gathered around, First at Hazelpaw, then Lilypaw, Then Softpaw, then Hillpaw, and finally Featherpaw. Calicostar nodded then spoke once more, "Clan dismissed" He said hopping down from the high rock. Lilypaw was excited tonight she'd be sleeping with Hazelpaw, Featherpaw, and Hill paw in the apprentices den
