"MY NAME IS COMMANDER SHAIDES RECRUITS, AND IT IS MY DUTY TO MAKE THIS A LIVING HELL FOR ALL OF YOU!!!" I was standing in the middle of the crowd with Mikasa next to me waiting for the commander to get to us.

Over they years I noticed Mikasa get more and more beautiful to the point where I always blush a little when I see her. I hope one day I could express my feelings to her but now is not that time yet. I saw the commander get to Armin and listen to what he said. "WHAT'S YOUR NAME RECRUIT?!" "A-Armin Arlet sir!" Armin gave the salute I saw that he was shaking as well I hoped inside my mind that he wouldn't break down.

"YOU GAVE YOU THAT IDOTIC NAME?" "M-my grandpa sir" "AND WHY ARE YOU HERE CADET!?!" "To help humanity fight against the titans sir!!" "GOOD WE CAN FEED YOU TO THE TITANS" He moved on to Eren but only looked at him and then moved on until he got to Mikasa and then like Eren he skipped her but yelled at me 

"AND WHAT'S YOUR NAME CADET?!?!" "My name is Y/n sir!" I remembered to not say my last name like my father said to. "NO LAST NAME CADET?" "No sir!" "*UH HUH, I GUESS YOU PARENTS DIDN'T CARE ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU A LAST NAME!!!" I started to get angry for saying that but I knew he was just trying to get under my skin so I stayed quiet but Mikasa noticed I didn't say my last name and just side looked at me. 

"WHY ARE YOU HERE RECRUIT?!?" "To protect my friends and defeat the titans sir!" "What a noble cause, until all your friends die." He then left me to intermate other cadets like a bald headed guy, a horse look alike and a freckled boy. 

All of sudden we all heard a crunch the commander looked where it came from and it was a brown haired girl eating a potato. "What do you think your doing?" the girl looked around like he wasn't talking to her. "ALL RIGHT YOUR OFFICALLY ON MY SHIT LIST WHAT ARE YOU DOING." she gulped down her potato and responded 

"Sir I am only eating a potato." "Why are you eating it?" "Sir are you asking why people eat potatoes? "No I'm asking why are you deciding to eat it right now" "I saw it in the mess hall and decided I couldn't let it sit there and decided to give it a home in my stomach." We all looked at her in shock. Is she this dumb? "You will run until sundown or you'll not eat for 3 days straight." She gasped and started to run. 

After that everyone started to leave to their bunks but Mikasa pulled me aside to talk. "Hey y/n why didn't you say your last name?" I didn't know what to say so i decided to tell her why I didn't say it because my father also told me to only tell those who i trust. "Now that you know why, can you please not tell anyone please?" I looked at Mikasa she looked at me back and nodded. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone about your last name." I smiled "Thank you Mikasa" she smiled back.

"Now lets go to our bunks"

"Is that girl still running" I asked Eren as I stepped outside. "Yeah seems like it" "you've should have seen her face when the commander said if she didn't run she would lose food privileges for 3 days" said by the boy named Connie "Hey look over there" A boy named Marco said, we looked over and saw a wagon full of cadets leaving the corps. 

"They are the dropouts." Eren said "What how could people drop out only on the first day?" said by a girl named Mina " It's just how it goes if you can't handle the pressure the you leave nothing to it". "Yeah, but I'll never give up right Armin, and y/n, we'll take revenge for Shiganshina." Said Eren. "Wait, you guys are from Shiganshina?" Said Connie. "Yeah me, y/n, and Armin." "no way."

 Me, Mikasa, and Armin were all sitting away from Eren as they swarmed him with questions. It look like it was going good until we saw Eren drop his spoon and start to shake. I decide to jump in before he had a full breakdown. "Oi lets give some space maybe there are things he doesn't want to remember, hell I have things I don't either."
