One more week of school. Just one. I have to remind myself that every time I want to ditch. It's currently 7:30am and life pretty much sucks because it's Monday.

"Al, get to the bus stop before your late!" My mom calls up to my room. I groan and slide my backpack over my shoulders and walk out the door.

The bus stop is just at the end of the road, a few houses down from Shawn's house. Shawn Mendes is my best friend, he's nearly 2 years older than me but it doesn't really matter. He's also a grade older than me.

I reach the stop sign and sit down on the curb, listening to cars in the distance. "Wagner, is that a worm I see?" I hear his all too familiar voice say. I hop up at the name of worm, I hate worms. I step in the street about five feet from the curb, scanning the grass for the "worm" the boy saw.

I sigh when I realize there was no devilish worm. I look up at him, at Shawn, and see the same face I've seen forever. His dark brown hair, brown eyes, and cute little flannel he wears every Monday.

I walk to him and punch him, "you little turd," I say and walk back through the wet grass to the curb, then sit down once again. It rained last night, it being Indiana and all. (a/n I know Shawn lives in Canada but this story is set in Indy)

He flops down beside me and the corner of my eye sees his light brown khaki pants that I am a big fan of. Shawn laughs, "got you," he says and I lightly elbow him.

I watch the house in front of us and feel the suns rays already hitting 65 degrees. "Damn it's getting hawt," I say.

He breathes out, "I know. Lets just ditch these next four days of school," he says. Then I hear a large vehicle moving down the street, the bus. We stand up and wait for it.

"If we did that, Ron would kick my ass," I say. Ron is my step dad, I don't like him too much. He drinks a lot too so I spend a lot of my time at friends' houses, but mostly Shawn's.

The bus pulls up and I hear Shawn say, "no.. he wouldn't," but I just walk on.

I find an empty seat and Shawn sits next to me. "I'm serious, lets do it," he says. I laugh and pull out my phone and get on twitter.

"I can't. I wouldn't live to see morning," I say.

"I just hate school and I want summer to come without it raining every day," he says.

I side smile and glance at him, "were going to Cali in two weeks you can wait," I say. Yes, Shawn and I are heading to Los Angeles in two weeks and meeting up with Shawn's friends.

My mom has talked to Shawn's parents and they decided to let us go since Cameron's 20 and Gilinsky, Johnson, Carter, and Taylor are all older than 18. Were meeting a few more people there as well. It's pretty much like a vacation with just me and my best friend.

"Oh god I cannot wait!" Shawn says excitedly.

"I'm hungry," I say. "I didn't have time to grab something," I add.

I watch him dig in his backpack, "maybe I have something. Can't let you starve," he says and continues to search his bag. Then, he finally pulls out a ziplock bag with lucky charms. I laugh.

"How long has that been in there?" I ask taking it hesitantly.

He shrugs, "not more than 5 days," he says.

I laugh again and grab a handful, and eating it. They aren't stale, so it'll have to do. "Thanks," I say and continue eating the cereal until we reach school.

_________ {after school}

"Want to come over?" Shawn asks as we walk off the bus. I stop on the sidewalk in front of the bus stop. He stands a few feet ahead of me.
