Ally's Pov

Suddenly I'm aware of my surroundings, I'm awake. I don't open my eyes until the sunlight burns it. Last night Shawn told me to not forget, but to move on. I'm going to try my hardest to do so. My mom was the best, she was, but she wouldn't want me grieving. She'd want me to have a kick ass time in Los Angeles next week.

I sit up and stare at the same tree for about a minute before throwing my hair up out of my face. Man, I could use a shower. I look and see that it's noon, officially summer.

I rub my eyes before hopping up and going in the hallway. I peek out the window and don't see Shawn's parents' car. They must be gone.

I slowly walk into Shawn's room and see him fast asleep. I lean on his door and smile, I have the best best friend ever. He's facing away from me, but I can hear him snoring. I walk to his bed and lay half on him half off.

I watch his eyes flutter open, as soon as he sees me, he smiles. "Ally, you okay?" He asks.

I close my eyes and nod. I lean up so he can sit up. His shirt is off because he always sleeps without it, his hair is a mess. He probably didn't get much more sleep than me.

"I'm gonna go get some breakfast. After, can you take me to my house? So I can get some clothes?" I ask not even thinking about going back for good. I don't even know if it's legal, living with someone other than a legal guardian.?

He shuts his still-tired eyes and nods happily.

I rinse out my bowl and realize I've been wearing this flannel for 4 days straight. Not even a shower, man I must stink.

I see Shawn trudge down the stairs in a tee shirt and grey joggers- his keys in hand. He smiles at me, "ready?"

I nod and follow him to the car. The rain has dried up from last night, the temperature is hitting 85 as of right now. Man I could use some pool time.

We get to my house, and Ron's car is in the driveway. I look at Shawn, "come in with me," I say.

He unbuckles, "I was going to anyways," he says and we both walk up to the door.

I knock, in a few seconds, Ron opens the door. He first looks at Shawn, then me. His face sours, "damn girl put some clothes on!" He says.

I sigh and slide in past him, walking fast to the stairs. Shawn right behind me.

I get to my room. Nothing has changed. I grab a bag and put in a couple jeans and shirts. Under the flannel I slide on some black spandex, then I'm ready to go. Shawn has been patiently waiting on my bed.

"After this, I want to take you somewhere," he says.

I shrug, "okay let's go before he gets on my case even more," I say.

I lead him down the stairs and open the door then stop. I take one good look at Ron, in his old recliner already drinking. I sigh and walk out the door.

"Come back soon, Ally Wagner!" Ron yells after me. I just ignore it and get into Shawn's car.

I watch him get in and start up the car.

"There has to be a law saying that you can't live with him anymore, now that your mom...." he says faintly.

"Yeah. I'll just wait, and hope to be able to stay at your house until the Feds get involved," I say.

We get to Shawn's house again, I walk straight into the shower. I told Shawn after I get out and ready, we can go where he wants to go.

I stay in the shower until the water turns cold, then hop out. I dry off, blow dry my hair, then put on some light ripped jeans, and a shirt with the sides cut off with a sports bra under.
