I walk slowly next to Shawn through the rain, letting it soak me. He walks ahead of me and opens my door for me. Then he enters and the car is silent, besides the rain patter on the windshield.

"She's gonna be okay, Al," Shawn says and starts the car. I shrug.

We move slowly out of the parking lot, "we can go back to my house and get in warm clothes and watch movies. But then we have school tomorrow.." he says and groans.

I sigh, "ok," I say. Movies and warm clothes sound good until we have to sleep for school tomorrow. Ugh.

We reach Shawn's house and I walk in slowly behind him. The door closes and Shawn sets the keys on the counter, "come on let's go upstairs real quick," he stays and I follow him to his room.

My jeans and tee shirt are soaked, along with his flannel and tan Khakis he wore to school. I stand inside the doorway as Shawn scavenged in his closet. He throws me a similar flannel. "Just until we get some clothes from your house," he says.

The shirt is warm and smells like him. I walk to the bathroom and take off my shirt and pants. Luckily my undergarments didn't get too damp. (guys lol stfu)

I slide on the flannel and button it up. It goes down to a few inches above my knee, but hey, I'm only with Shawn.

I walk out and try to ring my hair out. I walk in Shawn's room and he has on grey basketball and no shirt. His hair is still wet.

He has the same body I see all too often. We swim together in his pool in the summer haha. He looks up at me and I stand there with my arms crossed. "You okay?" He asks.

I nod but keep a straight face, "my feet are cold," I say. He laughs and tosses me a pair of high, black nike socks.

I slide them on and sit on his bed. He walks in front of me, "how about we get clothes at your house, then come back and watch Ouija?" He says. I smile a little.

We both adore scary movies. He stands a foot in front of me then leans on his hands, so our faces are the same level.

"Okay, Mendes," I say. He smiles and then shakes out his hair, getting water over me. I scream and punch him in the stomach. He laughs and leads downstairs.

"Funny," I say and he grabs an umbrella from the closet before going outside. I slide on a pair of slides by the door, probably Aaliyah's. We both stand under the umbrella, but the rain has calmed down. He walks me to the door with the umbrella, then goes to his.

"You look cute in my flannel," he says. I smile but don't look at him.

"I look cute all the time," I say and he laughs as we start the drive.

I stare out the window and I catch a boy in front of a house, playing basketball in the rain with another tall boy. I recognize one of them as Taylor.

I face the front, "who's Taylor with?" I ask.

"Matthew came down for the week," he says without looking.

"Oh," I say and it's silent until we reach my house. The door is always unlocked, so I just go right in. Shawn stayed in the car.

I run upstairs, grab an old backpack, and shove in an outfit for tomorrow along with some makeup. I put in some pajamas as well, even though I'm not opposed to sleeping in this flannel.

I get all my needs and run back to the car through the rain. I stop halfway and see Taylor leaning on the window with an umbrella. The door closes and he looks up at me, he smirks. Shit all I'm wearing is a flannel.

I run to the passenger seat and manage to not get too wet this time. I look at him outside the door, talking to Shawn who's still in the drivers seat.

Taylor and I make eye contact. "Nice shirt. Anything under it?" He asks.

I laugh, "wouldn't you like to know."

He steps back as if offended, then goes back to the window. "Your girls' got a mouth, Mendes," he says.

Shawn smiles a little. "Well we gotta get going.." he says.

Taylor steps back and holds his umbrella up. "Bye Ally," he says and I wave.

We get on the road and Shawn rolls up his window. "Does he not understand that your fucking 14 and he's 19?!" Shawn says gripping the wheel tighter.

I fake laugh, "yeah he's a boy- hormones or whatever," I say not really wanting to talk about it.

"He was totally checking out your ass," he says.

My cheeks turn red and I look to the other side out the window. "Whatever," I say feeling the awkward level rising.

Shawn sighs, "what movie do you want to watch?" He asks and I see that we are almost back at his house.

I shrug, "how about Annabelle?" I suggest.

He laughs, "that's not even scary. How about The Blair Witch Project?" He says.

"I haven't seen it." I say honestly.

He scoffs, "we'll be prepared to not go to the woods for a long time," he says.

I laugh as he stood in the driveway.

We walk in, and I tell him I am going to go put my bag in his room.

"I'll get everything ready," he says.

I put my bag up, fix myself in the mirror, then walk back down the stairs. The lights are off but the TV is on, playing scary music.

I don't see Shawn, "Shawn ?" I call out but no answer. "Mendes quit fooling around!" I yell.

I sigh and walk to the couch with many blankets then Shawn jumps out from behind. I scream and fall on the floor.

I pant really loudly while Shawn dies of laughter. "Motherfucker," I say.

He laughs and extends a hand. I grab it and stand up, then punch him hard in the arm.

"You think that hurt? Feel how hard these things are," he says and I laugh.

"Don't ever do that again," I say and flop down on the couch.

He laughs again, presses play, then sits right next to me as we watch one of the scariest movies ever.
