Unwinding

Cassidy sighed to herself as she took her shoes off. She had had to come home to insure the barrier around her house was working and everyone was safe. Tyler still didn't know and no one planned on telling him.

"Cassidy," she halted. Standing behind her was her mother, Eliza Hatsune. She gave her daughter a worried look.

"Cassidy you should go back to Taiju," Cass shook her head. How could she when they needed her more than she needed him.

"Cassie," her mother said resting a hand on her shoulder. Cassidy froze. Her mother retracted her hand. Cass wasn't used to parental affection yet. Not after all those years. She hardly even accepted when Taiju touched her. She gritted her teeth gripping her shoes. She was so tired of this.

"Honey, I know you want to protect your siblings but you should let me do my job for once in a while," Eliza looked down. It was already bad enough she had failed them all these years. She needed to protect her kids now.

"So please stay out of this one for once," Cass sighed.

"You and I both know what happens when you use your abilities," Eliza frowned. After an incident with her ex husband he had stabbed through her immortal skin causing a shatter in her soul. This is what had caused her to fall into insanity. The wound never got properly treated because she wanted to stay by her kids. Soon she began to hallucinate and those caused her to have a stroke once. Now she couldn't use her abilities without falling sick days later.

"I'm not helpless, I can still fight," she stated. Cass stood up. This conversation wasn't getting anywhere. Both were too stubborn but I guess the apple never falls far from the tree. Cass turned around with a smile.

"Don't worry mom, you don't need to do anything, I'll do all the work," she said. With that she walked past her and went to her room. Eliza sighed. This was pointless. But she wouldn't let that man come near her kids.
On the other side of Tokyo in a highschool;

"So he's out huh?" Owen asked. He sat at his desk with a sigh. In a chair beside him was his daughter. Tsunami sighed as well.

"Cassidy is all over the place trying to ensure the barrier won't break and Tyler doesn't even know but it's only a matter of time," Owen balled his fists.

"What about your mother?" Tsuna scoffed. She didn't want to talk about her. Owen smiled.

"Don't be so hard on her, she's doing her best," he said. Tsunami didn't know about her mother's condition and how risky it was for her to use her powers.

"I know because she does her best blah blah blah, but I have other things to worry about," Owen smirked.

"Like Hakkai," Tsunami rolled her eyes. A faint blush dusted her cheeks. They had a date this evening.

"How is by the way? I hope his brother isn't bothering him?" She shook her head. Taiju had been taking anger management classes thanks to Cass so Yuzuha and Hakkai were safe. Tsunami stood up. It was almost time by the way.

"You know, sometime you should present him to me," Tsuna looked at her dad with a smile.

"Sure if you promise not to scare the ever lasting shit out of him," Owen rolled his eyes.

"I would never," he said placing a hand on his chest and raising the other in a swearing manner. Tsuna gave him a look of disbelief. Owen only laughed waving his hand.

"Alright alright, just go or you'll be late," Tsuna nodded heading off. Owen watched as she left with a smile. Yet it soon dropped into a worried look. He got his phone out dialing a number.

"Hey, yeah it's me, can I ask you for a favor?"
Tyler sighed to himself as he dropped the weights.

"Hey dude you've been looking extra tired these days," Kobra said jumping off the running machine. Tyler sighed.

"I know it's just I have a bad feeling about something," Kobra frowned. Did he find out? Tyler glanced around.

"I don't know when was the last time you got laid?" Kobra asked jokingly. Tyler shrugged.

"I don't really feel like dating these days," he said. Kobra frowned. Usually men would like around Tyler continuously for a hook up and he wasn't the type to turn down a good time. Maybe he had found out.

"Well maybe try dating again?" Tyler scrunched his nose.

"Yeah no I don't think-" his phone buzzed interrupting him. He took it out and looked at the text. His eyes widened. He stood up abruptly and began to pack his stuff. Kobra looked at him with a frown.

"Hey you good?" Tyler froze.

"My dad's in the perimeter," he said. Kobra's eyes widened. He grabbed his arm before he could go anywhere. Tyler gave him a look.

"Don't do this dude, he's not worth ending the hospital for-"

"Let me go Kobra," the Egyptian shook his head. Tyler groaned.

"Think of Cass and Tsuna, they need you right now more than anything else," Tyler sat back down with a heavy sigh. Kobra scratched his head thinking of a way to distract him.

"Hey how about we go out, have some fun," Tyler looked at him.

"Will, Ima be alright with you clubbing a week before your anniversary?" Kobra shrugged. Certainly his boyfriend would have a fit of jealousy especially if he finds out he'll be busy training Takemitchy for a while now.

"He'll be fine," he said knowing far well how his lover reacts to him being drunk a week before any type of event.
So that evening they did go out clubbing at their favorite bar.

"I don't think we should be here," he looked at Kobra with an accusing gaze.

"You especially," he said. Kobra just rolled his eyes dragging him to the bar.

"Come on bitch it's time to get drunk," Tyler sighed.
The bar was quite crowded for a Wednesday night. It wasn't something he wasn't used to but the fact that people went out of there way to try and touch him was what pissed him off.

"Hey cutie what're you doin here alone-"

"Piss off," he ended up rejecting anyone who came close. In the end he stayed at the bar drinking his anger away instead of dancing. Kobra sighed beside him.

"Look Ty maybe try to unwind, relax and loosen the attitude, you're scaring potential hook ups away bro!" He said. Tyler ignored him as he sipped his drink in silence. Kobra went to argue again when he was tugged onto the dance floor. Tyler snorted as he watched a bunch of guys try to get his best friend's number. He sighed to himself. If Calvin were here he'd make a bunch of jokes about the situation and how Tyler was as stiff as a log.  He sighed. He kind of missed the idiot. He looked up at the flashing lights. Alcohol was beginning to sink in and soon he felt a tad bit less stressed. He looked around at any potential partner. He wasn't the type date strangers but right now he was frustrated in all ways and just wanted to forget about reality. He noticed some guy in the far back leaning against a wall alone. Tyler shrugged approaching him. Of course they hit it off fine and ended up going upstairs. He barely had time to text Kobra before getting dragged into the bedroom.
