It was mid summer of febuary 2004, the air was warm and fresh. Japanese people went about their day. In the city of Tokyo folks were dressing accordingly to the eras fashion. Amongst the butling crowd were a group of middleschoolers. They all wore the uniform of the Gonbei Academy. A light goldenrod yellow sweater on some with a white dress shirt and a skirt of the same color. On others the sweater was tied around the hips, hanging on one's shoulders. They were all attending a Japanese private school, you could tell by the emblem of the school situated on the right side of their chests.
However their faces, skin tones and manoeuverisms indicated only a few of them were Japanese.
Upfront, leading the group was Chelsea M. Rojas. She was a Mexican transfer, had dark black skin, curly brown hair and bright sapphire blue eyes. Though they were iconic, and attracted attention whenever she made eye contact, those who saw could not help the unease, stress and even fear they felt. But it was normal. She was not quite human, nor was she very kind.
"Maybe you should quite being so stone faced"
Beside her, wearing baby pink curly extensions was her twin. Her other half, Chizelle M. Rojas; The two shared the same initials, looks, dna and blood type but that was all. Chizelle couldn't be more differentn from the leader of the Centro del Jiten. She, unlike her stone faced sister, was as warm as the summer air, as sweet as a doughnut and yet as sharp as the blade of a guillotine.
Chelsea paid no mind to her sister's words. Aside from a glance she had not reacted.
"Let her be Chi, you know miss edgy wedgy isn't fond of coming back to japan"
The voice behind them belonged to Tsunami, the second in command. The young German stared straight ahead, much like her captain, she wore a stoic look. How ironic. Tsunami wasn't all that expressive either. She, due to her troubled upbringing had had to repress a few of her emotions. Though more laid back now, she was still a soldier on the inside.
"You girls leave her alone!"
A much taller figure leaned between Chizelle and Tsuna. Bubblegum pink hair tied in halo buns with brown eyes looking at them then at Chelsea who was still quiet. She went by the name: Lola. She was Chelsea's best friend. A title only she had managed to get. The 6ft girl walks around Chel, then stops to her right nudging her a bit.
"How do you feel? Not too nervous"
Chelsea shook her head, she didn't respond verbally. She had always been a bit of a selective mute. Lola looked her up and down.
"You know we might eventually bump into him"
She said as they walked. Chelsea's gaze hardens as Lola spoke. She simply shrugged in response. What else was there to say? She wasn't here for anyone, she was here to commemorate the death of a family member. That and business related problems.
"You girls can chat later about all this! Where are we even heading to?"
A whine came from behind Tsunami. A girl in a longer skirt than the rest came forward.
"We've been walking for hours! When do we go there!?"
She asks groaning. Angel was a particularly sassy person, being the second in command of the Resources Squad. They were in charge of the recruitment which you'd assume would be the task of a rather responsible person... Which she wasn't.
"We're off to the Orchida of course!"
Chizelle stated. The Orchida, situated in the center of the red light district was one of the oldest bars in the area. It belonged to the Rojas family who had had it built around the 1600s.
