Jisoo and Chaeyoung went back to Seoul a little over a day left in Chaeyoung's 14 days. As soon as they landed the lawyer tried contacting Jennie or Lisa but the two were out of reach and even before they can reach their apartment there was an invite to a family dinner from their parents.
"Do you think they know we got married?" Jisoo asked
"They didn't the first time" Chaeyoung murmurs absentmindedly before she can catch herself Jisoo is already raising a questioning eyebrow
"Okay - enough with the secrets. What are you up to these past few days"
"Jisoo..."
"No, Chae. We just got married and do we really want to start our marriage with a big secret between us?" unlike before Jisoo wasn't angry nor was she irritated, there's even a teasing edge to her voice
"But..."
"How about this" Jisoo plops in the bed and pulls Chaeyoung with her, "I'll tell you a secret if you tell me yours"
Despite herself Chaeyoung laughs, "I don't think yours will sound just as crazy as mine"
"Yeah but still...please?" Once Jisoo used her puppy dog eyes and pout, the lawyer knew she had lost a battle
"Fine" she relents, heart beating like a drum in her chest, "Just promise me you won't think I'm crazy"
"I already think you are" Jisoo smirks at her but the serious look on Chaeyoung made her say, "I promise"
"Do you remember Kwon Ji-yong? the guy I shouted at"
Jisoo stilled and Chaeyoung can see the demons working behind her wife's eyes. "He's not just a random businessman" she says quietly
"You cheated" Jisoo says at the same time Chaeyoung says, "He's the angel of death"
"Wait, What?!" they also said in unison and bolted upright
"You thought I was cheating?" Chaeyoung asked
Jisoo looked guilty, "Well...yeah"
"I would never...and you still wanted to get married"
"Yeah, it kinda sounds stupid when you realize it" Jisoo says, "But I would marry you in a heart beat. I-I...It's just that - I want"
"I didn't cheat, why would you even think that?"
"Are you done with your secret because mine is actually related to this" Jisoo admits and the lawyer is intrigued
"Spill, we can circle back to mine later"
She was dragged into Jisoo's home office, "I started receiving threats" Jisoo starts and Chaeyoung can feel her heart hammering
"It wasn't about me - all of it was about you"
"What?" Chaeyoung asked confused
"At first it was like innocent stuff, I was mailed a paper saying stuff about you - basically just hating on you" Jisoo pulls out a box full of random papers, "then it became threats like you're gonna die - this started after the fundraiser"
Jisoo exhales, "I thought maybe this was Sana or Jungkook, maybe you pissed one of them but I confronted Sana and she said she had nothing to do with it and I trust her and before I could ask Taehyung to patch me with Jungkook I find out he's already back with him and I got pissed"
"What does this have to do with you thinking I was cheating?"
"There was one particular letter where it said that you were cheating and I was better off without you and I just snapped I guess - and my mind jumped into conclusions"
