|Spoken like a true villain|
She's going crazy - is the CEO's first thought. That is the only plausible explanation as to what Chaeyoung just said. Jisoo wondered if Lisa Manoban and Jennie Kim had something to do with all these nonsense. She wakes a little past 4am and clambers out of the bed, smiling at sleeping Chaeyoung before heading to kitchen for a glass of water
As the cold water fills her glass she spots the sticky note on the fridge - scribbled in elegant handwriting are the words "Vigilate Vestri Tergum"
Jisoo immediately googles it and it turns out to be latin for watch your back - she stood there dumbfounded replaying what happened last night, a stranger who looked straight out of a rehab facility appeared out of nowhere like some ghost and said hey - and it wasn't even knocked in your door kind of thing, it was like poof in thin air kind of thing
She feels the air struggling to reach her brain and holds on the kitchen for dear life because what the actual fuck just happened last night? Was she not dreaming? Jisoo looks back at the note again and she feels her heart beat pick up - Holy...
Jisoo reaches for the home phone and dialed her brother's number - it takes three rings before Taehyung picks up
"Jisoo, It's four am - someone better be dying"
"I think - I am"
That bolts Taehyung awake, "What? where's Chae?"
"You will not believe a word I will say but you need to trust me" Is what Jisoo says

The dinner is just supposed to be in Seoul but their parents remembered that they haven't properly celebrated Jisoo and Chaeyoung's promotion so they moved in to Jeju and despite insisting that they can drive themselves there was a car waiting outside their apartment complex
"Of course" Jisoo throws her hands in the air
Chaeyoung laughs and pulls her by the hip, "you better get use to it, Ms. Chairman" She jokes. Their laughs came out easily as if they didn't just figure out how killed Jisoo or - Who was planning to kill Jisoo
"I think you mean, Mrs. Chairman" Jisoo corrects and their smiles could light up the whole Seoul
The flight to Jeju was short and uneventful - it was only 3pm and their parents insisted on meeting for coffee before actually retiring to their hotels
"Did you get the apartment in Jeju cleaned up?" Chaeyoung asks Jisoo as their driver swiftly parks in the cafe
"Yep" the CEO answers popping the p
As they went out the car Chaeyoung sucked a breath as she sees a familiar cafe, "You gotta be fucking with me"
"What?" Jisoo asks, looking around to see if there was any visible threat
"This is the cafe that death owns" Chaeyoung hissed trying to see if she can spot death from the outside
"Its not like we'll get murdered here so let's just get this over with" Jisoo reasons, she grabs her wife's trembling hands. "Hey...I'm still here okay? We're fine" she says more calmly
Entering the cafe, they immediately spots their parents and already sitting Chanyeol, Jisoo feels her heart hammering in her chest - it was a mixture of fear and anger but mostly anger and spite.
"I'll order" Jisoo says before pulling out a chair for Chaeyoung and kissing her on the head, she saunters off the counter and orders a piece of every sweets and pastries they have knowing so well that her wife and brother can wolf it down in a minute
"..and A large Caramel macchiato and Americano"
As soon as she paid for it she goes back to the table and Taehyung is already their with Jungkook, needless to say it was awkward as hell.
Even with Chaeyoung's social skills the atmosphere haven't changed in one bit, Chaeyoung was almost thankful of the loud ringing on her phone, she excuses herself and answers the call
"Chaeyoung, This is Lisa"
"I know, We have caller ID now" she answers sarcastically, "Thank you for disappearing"
"Listen, I figured it out. Meet me and the back of the cafe and bring Jisoo!" then the call ended
"Rude" Chaeyoung whispers before going back to the table and excusing Jisoo, "Sorry, we just need to talk about something urgent"
The backdoor was located just right of the bathrooms and true enough Lisa Manoban and Jennie Kim is there, the detective standing beside the closed dumpster and the reporter sitting on top.
"Drum roll please" Jennie says and mimics a drum roll on the dumpster, "We figured it out"
"A bit cheery considering we're talking about my death here" Jisoo points out
"and we already figured it out too" Chaeyoung adds
"What?" Lisa says obviously pissed that they got beat, "how?"

Taehyung was gobbling up every bit of sweets in the table, he was stress eating and he have the right to especially after what his sister just said to him earlier. Remembering the whole conversation he excuses himself to fetch Chaeyoung and Jisoo
Jungkook feels his throat tighten as Taehyung stands up - he's alone with just Chaeyoung's parents and Chanyeol and his boyfriend's parents
"So...Jungkook, I didn't know you and Taehyung got back together" Chanyeol mused, his faced blank and for the last time the chef is reminded why he never liked Chaeyoung's brother
"We reconnected recently - all thanks to your sister, she gave me the opportunity to talk to Tae and everything fell in the right places" he explained
"Ah" is all Chanyeol says and Jungkook didn't miss the way his eyes traveled to Taehyung's parents who didn't seemed pleased with his presence at all.

Before Chaeyoung can even begin to explain how she figures it out the door opens and Taehyung's head pops out, "Oh, thank god I checked here first before the girl's bathroom"
Lisa reaches for her gun but doesn't pull it out yet and Taehyung's eyes widen, "How sure are we that we got the right guy"
"Calm down" Chaeyoung says, unfazed. "I'm 100% sure"
"How did you know?" Lisa asks
"I'm a lawyer, I know how to get away with murder..."
"Great, so we bust his ass right now? or do we wait till he actually kills someone e.g. her" Lisa says and points at Jisoo
"I'm confused - who are we talking about?" Taehyung asks
"I might have a plan" Chaeyoung says deviously
The three other girls nod while Taehyung still looks puzzled, "I gotta ask though" Lisa says. "We're not gonna kill someone right?"
The newly married couple gapes, "Of course not, are you insane?!"
"Feeling out of the loop here folks" Taehyung tries again
Chaeyoung turns to her, face blank - and Jisoo was a more than just a little worried about all this, "after dinner, bring Jungkook. We're gonna take about something"
