Before the term started, the returning students planned a party, and invited me because, of course they would.

The party was at a teen dance club, someone rented it out for the night and it was absolutely wild.

Since we're a ton of teens about to go through the training of our lives, one of the princes brought alcohol. How could he possibly get away with that? Well, it doesn't matter.

I got to the party late, and even though I wasn't the only girl there, the fairies from Alfea were invited, I still felt a little out of place.

"Elos! You made it... Wow..."

I turn to the bar where my classmate called out to me. He's a nice guy, a little loud but that's how most of them are to be honest. His name is Jace, and he was on my squad.

"Hey, Jace. I told you I was running late." I laughed while walking over to him. "I didn't know what to wear. How does it look?"

Jace blinks a few times, rubbing his eyes and blinking again. He then cleared his throat. "Y-You look nice... "

I roll my eyes and sit next to him at the bar. "I only look nice? Geez, tough crowd."

Jace's face became a shade soft shade of pink. "Fine, you look-"

"Absolutely stunning, as usual, ha."

I looked for the person's voice, low and kind of melodical. He's my age, a little taller than me, with dark hair and ruby red eyes. His smile seemed genuine, and honestly really cute.

I know I get a lot of compliments, but they never get less embarrassing to listen to.

"Thanks." I smiled at him, and he nodded.

I saw him around school a few times, but I don't know anything about him. I was too preoccupied trying to survive my first year to care.

He sat next to me, and I didn't mind it all that much. He didn't seem threatening and besides, what could be done in a place like this?

"Do you want a drink? I recommend the blue margarita."

I'm not a drinker, but I do know a few things about it. I know my limits, so I doubt I'd get drunk, but still, he's kind of suspicious. Why would he want to drink with me? As cute as I think he is, I couldn't shake the sense of danger I got from him.

I should've listened to my gut.

"I don't drink with strangers." I leaned against the counter, smiling at him.

"Oh, my bad. I'm Damien. I just saw you around school and I've been wanting to meet you. I'm sorry if I came off kind of weird." He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck, which was turning a shade of red.

I let my guard down just a little too much because he's cute. What can I say? I'm weak to cuteness.

"Damien?" I repeated to myself, then replied, "Nice to meet you."

Damien took a breath, then laughed off his nerves. "I am sorry for coming on to you this way, I just... I'm not good with people and you're so..." He trailed off, taking a sip of a drink that I didn't realize he had.

"I'm so, what?" I raise an eyebrow.

This is where my newest, and thankfully, last problem began.

Damien wasn't exactly what he seemed, and my mistake was falling for the cute act and not listening to my intuition.
If it wasn't for him, though, I would've still been hellbent on revenge I would never have gotten..... But maybe that would've been better, because he is-

Damien hesitated, "You're so... I mean..." He took a slow, deep breath, then looked into my eyes. "You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my life..."

- A goddamned devil.
