Damien is a very special individual. You can never read him, and even when you can figure out what he's thinking, you're dead wrong.

He seems aloof, but also expressive, immovable, yet flexible. Truly an enigma.

There is only one constant about Damien that everyone must always be aware of...

He can not be trusted.

"Oh goodness, it seemes like I missed... Something fun." Damien smirked as he watched Elos walking hand in hand with someone in the courtyard, preparing to go home.

That someone wasn't Jace, Allen, or Derrick, but a person that has never attended their school, and Damien knows him well. "Sulfus, the devil prince of ash and sulfur. What a surprise she could wrap him around her little finger. She's such a vixen, too bad I can't keep her around."

Damien was more or less entertained by Elos's existence. At first, he was curious about her, why would such a beautiful fairy want to be a warrior... Then, he wanted to watch her spirit break, but no matter what anyone did, she somehow found a way to climb on top.

From there, he wanted to possess her, and being so close is how he discovered that she had the same magic signature as the dragon heart.

His interest was only superficial until it was serious. It only got serious when he kissed her for the first time, and it escalated from there, quickly becoming sex friends. They did very explicit things all over the school, and had some people in the situation with them, and then they were open about it because, Elos claimed she never had anything to hide.

Damien walked right behind her, leaning towards the side which Sulfus wasn't near. "Elos, I'm back, did you miss me?"

Elos rolled her eyes when she heard his voice, and her partner pulled her away from him.

Damien smirked, holding his hands up. "Woah, I guess something changed while I was out."

Elos curled her finger under her partner's chin. "Chill, babe. Damien, welcome back. I wasn't sure if you were coming at all anymore."

The boy smiled, an evil grin that Elos became a custom to. "Sorry, I was having a... Family... Yes, family issues. I'm sure you understand. I see you found a way to entertain yourself without me." He gestured to the prince behind her. "Prince Sulfus, long time no see."

Sulfus held Elos by her waist with one arm, since he was floating her luggage with this other hand. "El, thought you cut ties with all your little flings, I'm not very fond of sharing, especially with a bastard like him." He more or less knew that Elos had no feelings for that boy at all, he was actually very confident in her love for him. It was Damien himself that he had the problem with.

The girl laughed because of her partner, sensing the urgency in the boy's voice. "Don't worry, love. Let's go, I can't wait to introduce you to my friends."

Damien's smile wavered just enough for Elos to notice the darkness behind his eyes. She had always seen it, she could feel it even when others couldn't. She got involved with him, but kept him at arm's length.

"Well, Elos... For old times sake..." He held out his hand, his eyes glowing a mysterious red.

Elos was compelled to give her his hand, but Sulfus grabbed her arm, glaring at the wizard.

"What are you doing." He narrowed his eyes, trying to pull the girl's arm back, but it was too late, he had taken her hand.

Elos snapped out of the enchantment quicker than he expected, so he placed a kiss on the back of her hand, whispering his spell against her skin. By the time she took her hand away, it was already done.

"You enchanted me, why?" She looked at her hand for any sign of something wrong.

Damien shrugged, then leaned towards them. "You know me, sexy. I'll visit Espedia later. Have a nice vacation."

Elos flicked his forehead, causing him to stagger back and whine like a child.

"Out of my face."

Damien pouted, acting cute, just like how he did when they first met. "So mean, aren't you even gonna miss me?"

Elos rolled her eyes, "Not at all. But, if you get on your knees and bark like a good boy, I'll give you a parting gift."

Damien bit his lip. He couldn't tell how serious she was, and he normally wouldn't be inclined to follow with such a joke, but he was tempted to do it just to see how she'd react.

Sulfus, on the other hand, was not at all pleased. He did smile through her taunting, but got a very devilish grin when idea creeped into his mind.

He kneeled by her legs, looking right in her crystilline eyes.

"Woof woof."

Elos nearly choked, her face quickly heating up. Damien clicked his teeth, turning on his heel since he really didn't want to see what would happen next.

The girl caressed her boyfriend's cheek. "How fast can we get to my room?"

Sulfus leaned into her hand, planting a light kiss on her palm. "Arf."

Damien jumped back as he felt the fastest fluctuation of magic for a long time. It was as if something snapped in the common girl, and she cast a teleportation spell without so much as an incantation. The couple was gone within the second he could blink, and something about that made him very... Upset.

"Damn that girl... Well, no matter." He muttered to himself. "I've done my part."
