Three weeks went by without so much as a text from her boyfriend, and Elos was nearly breaking down.
After the first day she was struggling just to get to sleep, relying on medication and her dear griffin friend to help her relax. After a week, she stopped eating, and began searching for him high and low, because he didn't even visit like he used to.
Her friends did everything they could to help, even trying to get to Sulfus's homeland, but that didn't work out well.
Week two went by, and Elos was taking out her anger on anyone she came across, so.much so that she was suspended for fighting outside of the arena, and her trainees were moved temporarily.
Now it's the end of week three, and she's struggling with herself not to cry in a corner.
"D-do you think he lost interest in me? A-am I not cute to him anymore?" Elos hugged herself, growing mushrooms in the corner of the room, completely crestfallen.
"No way! Sulfus loves you more than any one in magix! You're like, his obsession." Jace rubbed her back, looking to the fairies for support.
Raf was angry, visibly angry. She was mad because someone had hurt her friend. The last time Elos was this upset was her sister's birthday... For obvious reasons.
"He's right, Elos. You're the most beautiful, loving, and sweet girl ever. Of course he loves you..." Raf lowered her voice just below a whisper, "he'd better love you...."
Sweet nudged Raf, "Hey, now's not the time... Anyway, Elos, Raf is right. He loves you so super much!"
Mikki nodded. "Yeah, and Sweet would know, she is the fairy of love after all."
Sweet winked, "Yup!"
Elos poked one of the mushroom tops. "But Sulfus is so picky... Maybe I did something he didn't like... Ah, he's probably bored... I'd be bored of me too by now..." She sighed, glittering storm clouds forming over her head as drops of fragile jewels fell like rain. "I'm just a muscle headed specialist...."
Allen put his foot down. "Alright, enough! Elos, it hurts to see you like this. How much could he possibly mean to you for you to get so hung up?"
Cabiria nearly shoved Allen out the window because of his question. Although she didn't understand completely, she knew it wasn't something he should be asking in that moment. It was a very insensitive question.
Even Kabale was glaring at him, and Allen looked to his boyfriends for support.
Jace just shook his head while Roy didn't want any part of it. They knew what Allen was trying to say, but the way he said it could not have been worse in that moment. They weren't even sure how Elos would react to that.
Elos looked up at her friends, sighing again. "He's.... So perfect... Too perfect. His hair is silky and dark, his eyes bright and filled with love...for me. I loved that he loved me so much. I loved the attention he gave me. I love his smile, his laugh, even his cold attitude... He's always very warm to me."
Their hearts sank as their friend hugged her knees to her chest.
"I've been with a lot of people... But I never felt as loved or appreciated as I do with him. I've never felt so safe or vulnerable with someone. He makes me so strong, like I can do anything because no matter what, he's always going to support me."
Cabiria went to her side, pulling her into a gentle hug. "Elos... I know that Sulfus loves you. There has to be a reason he hasn't reached out. You mean so much more to him than he can put in words."
Raf went to her other side, blowing away the cloud over the girl's head. "She's right. You mean everything to him, so, something must have happened. Have you tried going to his house?"
Elos began to tear up. "Of course I have! I've tried everything!"
"Not everything, sister-in-law."
The room went quiet when the new voice was heard and everyone turned to where it came from. Sitting in the window, there was a man with a shirt covered in splotches of paint. He looked so familiar, and Kabale kneeled the second they met eyes.
"Dammit..." Cabiria mumbled under her breath, and helped Elos out of her slumped position on the corner. "Raf, Mikki, get her together, now."
Raf and Mikki looked at each other, then shrugged and started brushing Elos off, pulling her to the closet to get her into something different.
Jace and the others looked confused, and got nervous because the witch who was most hostile towards people, had literally bowed down to someone he didn't even recognize.
"Wow, this place is a mess. Huh, hey where did sister-in-law go? Oh, wait, Kabale? My darkness you got so big. And is that little princess Cabiria? Still into spiders I see." The man hopped into the room, already talking a mile a minute with the brightest smile on his face, but eyes so cold they might as well have been dead.
Sweet held onto Urie's arm. "Urie, stay behind me, okay?"
Urie nodded, lowering her head.
Everyone was being very careful, they had to be. The way Kabale reacted met that the person that appeared had to be royalty, and some royals are very high and mighty. Kabale and Cabiria haven't seen him since they were children, so they'd rather be safe than sorry.
Sweet didn't pay much attention in her classes about nobility, she didn't care for that, but now she felt like she should have. If every prince or princess was like her, magix would be so much more peaceful.
The man looked around the room, then held his hands up. "Sorry, I forgot! Haven't seen you in a long time, prejudice bullshit and whatnot, quit it I'm here to help. Please calm down."
Kabale lifted her head, glancing at Cabiria who nodded and everyone else began to relax. Allen took a deep breath, then showed off his goofy smile.
"Well, that shaved two years off my life, so who are ya? Who's your sister-in-law?" He looked at all the girls in the room, and Roy nudged him.
"Ally, think for a second before you speak."
Allen's face turned a bright shade of pink. "Don't call me that...."
Raf and Mikki came out of the closet with Elos all cleaned up. She still looked sad, but clean and sad.
"So, who is that?" Urie asked, pointing at the stranger.
"Oh, I'm Sulfus's older brother. Name's Ryzil. Ryzil Draconia Sulfiria, but sister-in-law can call me Zi." He winked.
Elos looked the guy up and down, he looked similar to Sulfus, of course he does, but he was much less... Everything, really.
"Ryzil... Hm." She sighed, folding her arms. "Can you tell me... Is Sulfus okay?"
Ryzil grinned, "He will be, if you come with me."
