"I told you, I'm fine Raf. For the last time, I'm not mad at your friends... No, no. Dolce seems very sweet, I'm sorry that my leaving early upset her."

Elos was on the phone with her friend, attempting to console her to no avail. Today, Raf introduced Elos to her dorm mates, and it went well, for the most part.

Dolce, also known as Sweet, is a party girl, once she starts, she doesn't stop. She's very kindhearted and she's the fairy of Love and Beauty. She's also the crown princess of the capital planet of romance.

Mikki, a cool fairy, is a tomboy. She's a fairy of ice and snow, but unlike her magic, she's very warm truly the big sister of the group.

Urie was there too, but of course that was the case because she and Raf were inseparable.

"Raf, I'm serious. I didn't drink that much, if anything, I'm just a little tipsy." Elos chuckled. She left the party early because she could only tolerate social interaction for so long. The alcohol helped, but she didn't want to drink too much since she had to sneak back into the dorms.

It's not the first, nor the last time she'd do that. She and her classmates sneak out to do all kinds of things. As long as they're able to sneak back in, everything is cool.

If she had known Raf would be so worried over it, she would've stayed until the end of the party.

While she was talking, some movement caught her eye. The second she looked over time slowed for a few seconds.

Never did she think that someone could be so mesmerizing, it caught her off guard. She nearly dropped the phone while trying to bring herself not to stare.

A boy just slightly taller than herself with hair a lustrous dark shade, and eyes a golden yellow, nearly gleaming.

How could someone possibly be so enchanting without a spell?

While Elos was staring, the boy turned to her and their eyes locked in a time slowing gaze.

Sulfus hadn't expected to meet her so soon, he needed more time to mentally prepare himself. He was confident that he'd be abl to approach the girl without worry, but actually being in the situation is way different from imagining it.

He had an entire plan for when they'd meet, but now that it's happened, he didn't know how to handle it. He had butterflies in his stomach, and he wanted to say something, but could hardly form words.

"Hi..." Elos was the one to finally break the silence. She worried of her heartbeat could be heard, and honestly wanted to hide it. She didn't this person, and even if she did, talking to people isn't exactly something she's good at.

Sulfus couldn't help but smile at her. After listening to his sisters talk about her for hours, he learned much more than he had by watching her for six months.

"Hey." Sulfus managed to reply, trying not to sound too nervous. He was excited too, since any opportunity to actually talk with her was a good opportunity.

He hoped that maybe, just maybe, she felt the same way about him as he did the moment he saw her. Instant attraction.

Sulfus didn't believe in 'love at first sight' before he had caught a glimpse of her. Seriously, the concept was nonsensical, uneducated at best, and yet, now it made so much sense to him.

Elos was unsure of what she felt, but did know she was more than just attracted. Something about him drew her in, and it wasn't magic. The sudden attraction couldn't be explained away as something simple.

"I um... I'm Elos." She sort of muttered, unsure if he even noticed what was happening in her head.

Sulfus carefully made his way to her side, holding a hand out. "My name's Sulfus."

Elos lightly shook his hand. At that point, she wasn't sure whether it was the alcohol, or something else, but every part of her body began heating up more so than usual. She began to squirm on the bench she was sitting on.

Sulfus was concerned. Was she uncomfortable? Did she not like him?

No, she really was just tipsy. Alcohol affects everyone differently, for Elos, it makes her antsy. She can't sit still for very long.

"Uh, sorry, I didn't think I drank that much." She smiled at him, the same smile that so flawlessly graced her lips a year prior.

Sulfus did all he could not to swoon. He couldn't stop thinking about just how cute she was. She seemed just as excited as he was, considering she wasn't sober anyway. He didn't want to bother her much while she wasn't in the right state of mind, but he also couldn't just leave her there. "Drinking? Do you need a cab?"

Elos definitely looked like she was out of it. Her face was flushed, and the smile she showed was entirely too relaxed for one she'd show a stranger, but in reality, she was just shy. She had never experienced a feeling like that, and she didn't know how she was supposed to handle it. It's not like there are textbooks on how to talk to wizards or anything.

"I don't need a cab... But I might need your number." She held out her phone, which was still on call with Raf. When she did finally notice that, she hung up on her friend and held it out again.

Sulfus wished he had whatever drink she did, because he needed that liquid courage. He never expected it to be so easy to talk to her, let alone getting her to ask for his number.

All that planning, and for what?

Was he really just super nervous for no reason?

Yes, absolutely. He entirely over thought about how they should've met. He had an entire fantasy about it, but all he really needed to do was just walk up and talk to her.

Elos only seemed hostile from the outside looking in, anyone who has ever met her would've agreed, the witches even would have agreed.

It was good that Sulfus decided to sneak out of his school that night as well, because deep within the dimension, on a desolate planer of crystals and gems, a certain witch awoke....
