Chapter Sixty

If the truth of her being the real SR came in front of her father, then her father would make sure to break her mentally and emotionally. Dharampal never raised his hands on his daughters, he would give them a light scolding if they did something wrong and that was it. But Susheela, she was broken. He broke her mentally and emotionally by implying his thoughts and opinions on her life.

He made sure that she didn't survive being herself. He constantly killed her self confidence and demotivated her from time to time. As a father, he was supposed to stand by her side, sheild her and protect her from this world but he didn't. Instead, he did the exact opposite of what he was supposed to do. But still she was grateful. Even though her father didn't support her most of the time, she knew he loved her too, and for the suppo, God sent other people in her life to help her, to comfort her and to guide her. Pramod and Garima were her main constant people, who supported her in everything and anything.

Now even if her being SR and working in her father's enemy's company came out, she would stand firm in her place. Who cares what her father will do to her next? Already he's broken her with his harsh speech, what else can he do more? She wasn't just going to sit there and watch him burn her happy place because of his ego.

She wasn't going to let her father destroy her happy place just because of his age old thinking that has been implemented on him since ages. She wasn't going to give up on her dreams now, she did back then but now she won't. She was naive enough to give her happiness and dreams in the hands of a man who just knew how to destroy it, her father. But this time, she wasn't going to give him the opportunity or the right to trash her dreams and her possible future happy life.

She was going to fight, like she always did. She was going to fight for what she felt was right. This work felt right, her career felt right, Pramod felt right and these challenges felt right.

She was ready. She was ready for this new challenge. If the truth came out, it came out. What's the worst that can happen anyway? She wasn't doing some crime or sinning against God. She was participating in a very respectable job, she was earning by her hardwork and she was financially fit to carry herself if her father threw her out of his house. She was prepared for the worst, but she still didn't want the worst to happen to her.

She was going to try her level best to let things be hidden as long as possible, make sure that she has time to well prepare herself before she comes out in front of her father with a bold and brave face.

Susheela sighed and got out of her thoughts. Even though she was sleepy and tired, she pulled out her laptop and started working on her individual project that she was supposed to present in about four months. Morning is definitely going to be chaotic right from her sneaking inside the resort to facing her father and relatives.

But something in her told that these two weeks, starting from tomorrow, would be the best two weeks of her life. She just felt it within herself, a change was about to happen. A change that can break her down, mould her or form her life. She only hoped for the latter though, not ready to go through the process of breaking down and forming again.

Once Susheela was done with her work on her laptop, she quickly shut all her working tabs and sighed. She was the only one in the entire bus who was wide awake and the only source of light that was coming inside the bus was due to the bright moon in the sky and because of her laptop screen. Susheela's eyes were paining and she was sure that they were bright red from her exhaustion and exertion. She laid her head back in her seat and adjusted herself into a comfortable position. Her eyes then landed on a rather sweet picture that she had kept on her laptop's background and smiled warmly at it. The picture consisted of sweet smiles of little children all huddled up against her and Pramod as they all grinned at the camera. Mini had taken the picture with a glittering smile on her face as she finally gave a nod of approval to her son for the girl he claimed to love. That was the day Susheela realised how big Pramod's heart is and how much of a kind person he actually is. And Pramod too approved of Susheela as a suitable partner the day he saw her interact with the little children with her heart full of love.
