Chapter Thirty Five

"Rukho dono ke dono abhi!", Mini yelled halting the two in their fight.

"Aree Rukh kyu Gaye? Maro na ek dusre ko! Lily tu pramod ke aankhe nikal aur Pramod tu lily ke baal noch! Paisa hi paisa hoga!", Jay said rubbing his hands together as he urged the two to fight.

"Paisa? Kya bole jaa rahe ho Jay? Aur kya faltu advices de rahe ho ladne ki?", Mini asked irritated.

"Arree dekho, Lily Pramod ke aankhe noch legi toh wohi aankhe hum kisi aur patient ko laga sakte hai na? Aur Pramod agar Lily ke baal ukhaad dega toh uski hum wig bana ke bech sakte hai. Tum nahi samjhogi, it's business.", Jay said giggling. At this point Mini just wanted to throw these three cockroaches out of her house.

"Kaha se seekh ke aate ho tum ye naye business plans?", Mini asked sarcastically.

"Meri dusri favourite serial 'Angan main hai koila, dimag sajanwa ka hai surila' se.", Jay said proudly, happy that his new business start up plans had impressed his wife. Pramod and Lily giggled softly.

"Chup karo tum teeno warna Main sabko ghar se bahar nikal dungi!", Mini threatened loudly. All the three paused at what they were doing and gave her a nervous smile. Lily and Pramod got up, wincing in pain while Jay backed away slowly ready to go on his night shifts of becoming Mr. India.

"Everybody, sit down!", Mini said ordering everyone to sit in their respective places. Being the sneaky person that he is, Pramod quickly sat on the chair opposite to Lily's before she got the chance to snatch it away from him.

"Ab bato kal ka kya plan hai tumhara? Susheela ke boxing match ke liye hum sab jaa rahe hai na?", Mini asked her son, who nodded at her.

"Yes mom, mujhe Susheela ji ne aaj hi passes de diye the. Kal ek baje unka match shuru hone wala hai.", Pramod said smiling warmly at the mere mention of Susheela, which, of course didn't go unnoticed by Lily. She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, teasing him.

"Toh hum log ghar se 12:30 baje nikal jaayenge.", Mini said taking a mental note to wrap up her work before twelve.

"Main nahi aa paunga Mini, meri bohot hi important meeting hai kuch doctors ke saath. Unhe ek case main meri advice chahiye, and it cannot be delayed or postponed.", Jay said sadly.

"Koi baat nahi tum finals main aa jaana.", Mini said nodding at her husband.

"Aur hum Jhajjar ke liye kab nikal rahe hai mom?", Pramod asked his mother.

"Parso nikalenge, wo actually mujhe orphanage ka kuch kaam hai. Humare investors aane wale hai toh unke saath ek scheduled meeting hai, wo jaise hi khatam ho jaayegi ussi din nikal jaayenge. Par agar tumhe aur Lily ko pehle jaana hai toh tum dono kal Susheela ke match ke baad nikal jaana.", Mini suggested.

"No, it's okay Mini aunty. Pramod aur main, hum dono aapko aur uncle ko accompany karenge parso.", Lily said hugging her tight.

"Haa, waise bhi mere bhi kuch scheduled appointments hai toh, aur Lils tujhe bhi toh kal shopping pe jaana hai na?", Pramod asked looking up at her.

"Haa na yaar, lekin mujhe nahi jaana. Par jaana padega, kyuki shadi layak mere pass koi kapde bhi nahi hai.", Lily groaned in annoyance.

"Tujhe aur mom ko kal main drop kar dunga mall mein, okay?", Pramod asked yawning.

"Haa chalega.", Lily nodded, her eyes drooping in sleep.

"Chalo, ab tum dono so jaao. Kal ka din bohot lamba hai.", Mini said lightly caressing Lily and Pramod's head.
