Chapter Sixty Nine

"But- but she did it before me! Now she thinks that I don't know how to twerk! Look at her face! Just look at her victorious face!", Lily said chewing her fries with aggression as she pointed towards a smug looking little girl. Pramod looked her way and waved at the girl, the little child blushed and waved back.

"She's a child, what else do you expect from her? Now don't make that face. Look, her parents are scolding her.", Pramod said and Lily smirked at the little girl who was pouting in front of her parents.

"Whatever, but I won.", Lily said rolling her eyes.

"Yes, yes you win. Happy?", Parmod stuffed his bestfriend's mouth with the fries that were on her plate to shut her up.

"Waise tu gaya kaha tha?", Lily asked as she bit into her mouthwatering double decker, cheese loaded burger.

"Wo jo humne diamond necklace dekha tha na ussi ko finalise karne gaya tha. Maine payment kar di hai, ab jab Susheela ji mujhe haa kahengi tab main unke saath yaha aakar wo set le lunga. And don't worry, the price and design is mom approved.", Pramod smiled and took a bite of his pizza slice, making a face as he disapproved the taste. 

"Wait what? That's cool!", Lily said with a surprised smile but deep down she was worried for her bestfriend.

'I just hope you won't break my bestfriend's heart, Susheela. He's waiting for you, he will never leave his place. I just hope you come to him and wrap him in your arms. He has a hope, his hope is shining brightly today, please don't break his heart and shatter him to pieces.', Lily prayed in her mind for her bestfriend. He was standing still for Susheela, waiting patiently for her to fall in his arms. He was holding onto the thin string of hope and she only wished that Susheela would hold him tight in her arms.

"Lils! Lily! Lackwindar! Kaha kho gayi?", Pramod said shaking Lily out of wherever she had gone to.

"Oh sorry ha, bol na?", Lily asked shaking her head so she can return back to reality.

"Maine pucha ki Shekhar ki shaadi kab hai? I mean koi date finalise hui bhi hai ki nahi abhi tak?", Pramod asked as he sipped on his cold drink.

"Nahi na yaar. Mujhe kuch nahi pata. Rohan bata raha tha ki aaj sab elders, yaani Ritu ke side ke family members aur Smriti aunty functions kab hone wale hai wo decide karenge. Magar ab tak kuch bataya nahi unhone.", Lily said sneaking Pramod's fries in her tray.

"Accha? Ek kaam karte hai, we'll call them.", Pramod said and took out his phone.

"But before that, I need to post this video.", Pramod smirked wickedly and posted the video he had taken a while back in which Lily was participating in a dance battle with a little child.

"Kya upload kar raha hai?", Lily asked slurping on her strawberry milkshake.

"Meri pictures, aur kya?", Pramod said casually, but the mischievous and evil smile on his face was putting her off.

After the video was uploaded, Pramod checked his notifications to see that his friends, Shekhar and Rohan had tagged him in their latest posts. Pramod's eyebrows creased together as he opened the post. As soon as he opened the posts he almost got an heart attack. There in the pictures, along with his bestfriends, his girlfriend too was in the picture with the brightest and the most beautiful grin on her face.

"What the hell?", Pramod got up from his seat and yelled out loud. Lily who was sipping on her milkshake got so scared that she started choking on her drink. People around looked at them, the sight was quite funny indeed. A shocked and confused handsome man stood in the cafeteria, his chair pushed back, with the most dramatic expression on his face and a dying girl beating her chest with her fists, trying to get in as much as air possible.
