A week has passed since Hawkmoth revealed himself, and Paris gained its two heroes. During that time, all schools had a mandated shut down period until officials could figure out what to do. A decision came faster than anyone expected, ending with classes continuing like normal. The school board felt it didn't matter if students were homeschooled or not since Stoneheart had destroyed houses in his path as well. Though, they are adding extra security to try and help students evacuate.
Speaking of Stoneheart, Ivan got taken into police custody for interrogation. Police wanted to check on the possibility that he was working for Hawkmoth. When Marinette heard about this, she couldn't help but want to help Ivan.
"So, you're saying that Hawkmoth took over the kid's mind, and he wasn't in control of his actions as Stoneheart?" The same orange-haired policeman from Stoneheart's attack asks.
"Yes, Sir, it's a form of mind control that his Miraculous has apparently. Hawkmoth will target negative emotions and use them to turn people into villains." Ladybug explains.
The man rubs his temples tiredly. He then looks at Ladybug with a sigh.
"Alright, I'll tell the chief, and we'll make an official statement. I'm already missing when we were only dealing with criminals." The officer sighed.
"You're just going to go along with this?" Ladybug asks in shock.
"We have no choice. We don't know anything about this, and it's more likely that you have more knowledge. Also, I highly doubt a kid would want to destroy the whole city like that." The officer tells her.
That was a couple of days ago. People are still unsure and wary, even with one of Paris's new heroes defending the boy.
Currently, Nate was sitting on Marinette's bed, waiting for her. Next to him was the Miracle Box.
He wore a midnight blue long-sleeve, grey jeans, and black and white sneakers.
Nate was trying to open the Miracle Box again. Ever since they learned about the box's origin, a debate went on about what to do. Nate wants to try and claim at least one more Miraculous so he can help Marinette and Cat Noir. Marinette, however, is against the idea since it could be too big a risk.
"Stop messing with that box, Nate!" Marinette shouts from her closet.
"I can't help it. Waiting for Hawkmoth to strike again has me anxious. I'd feel better if there was something I could actually do to help." Nate tells her.
Tikki, who's helping Marinette with clothes, flew out of the closet.
"Even if you manage to free them, they may not choose you." She tells Nate.
Nate sighs and puts the box down. He then falls onto his back in annoyance.
"The chance to become a superhero is so tempting. Especially when we are in a lot of trouble and the chance is a puzzle." Nate mutters to himself.
Tikki pats him on the back with a smile.
"Don't worry, Nate. You can help in other ways." She tells him.
"Yeah, I'm sure you'll be able to do something," Marinette says as she walks out of her closet.
Marinette was now sporting a white collar, black short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and her pink flats. However, the most eye-catching item she had on was her jacket. It was a pink jacket with black spots over it like a ladybug.
"I still can't believe you decided to make that jacket," Nate tells her with a neutral expression.
Marinette blushes before glaring. However, the words to leave her mouth were shaky and embarrassed.
