In his office, Gabriel can't help but let out another sigh as he realizes for the seventh time that his most recent Akuma has failed again. However, it's not the failure itself that's making him anxious. It's the timetable he feels he's on. Since Brawling Tiger appeared, he's become more worried about being discovered.
"I doubt the Tiger Miraculous' Kwami would tell its new wielder about me since we kept our identities secret. However, if she has a connection with Caspian, she might be able to learn more about me. Plus, the others might start appearing, too. I don't know if I can handle the Dragon Miraculous on top of the others." Gabriel mutters to himself as Nooroo appears.
"It's both fortunate and unfortunate you and she were so cautious about keeping your identities a secret from the others. None of them know your identities while you know none of theirs." Nooroo says with a smile.
"I at least know more about the Tiger Miraculous wielder and possibly the other Miraculous users. I know they're students at the same school Adrien goes to. That gives me something to go off of." Gabriel counters in an annoyed tone, much to Nooroo's amusement. He can feel the annoyance radiating off Gabriel.
"Are you still mad at me for improving your Akuma's design?" Nooroo asks in a purposely carefree tone that Gabriel knows all too well.
"If your 'improvement' was meant to give anyone with a good eye for fashion a heart attack, then yes," Gabriel growls at the Kwami.
Hearing this, Nooroo crosses his arms in fake annoyance while turning away.
"How do you know that's not what I was going for? It's obvious Ladybug has some talent in fashion. She makes such nice costumes." Nooroo mutters in faux annoyance.
"We both know you just have a bizarre sense of aesthetics. You did this all the time in the past. You somehow outdid yourself this time, though." Gabriel snaps at him, causing Nooroo to turn to the man and smile widely.
"Why, thank you, Gabriel. I'm glad you agree that Reflekta was a masterpiece." Nooroo proudly says before he has to phase through a fly swatter.
"That's not what I was saying, and you know it," Gabriel growls at the Kwami.
Nooroo pouts before flying off, having enough of his fun.
Gabriel sighs as he rubs his temples, already having enough of that Kwami for today. Meanwhile, Nooroo looks back to where he left Gabriel's office with a slightly sad expression.
"My poor wielder. You have yet to realize how much you'd truly like for someone to stop you. It's bleeding in your actions." Nooroo says, shaking his head in sadness before heading somewhere to get something to eat.
He understands Gabriel's true feelings better than the man himself. After all, he realized long ago why Gabriel told Alya that hint about his identity.
Speaking of Alya, the girl is working on combining her notes about past heroes with what she knows about Team Miraculous and Hawkmoth. The conversation with Marinette's grandfather has been very enlightening. Now, she's just trying to find more angles to write about.
"So, there was a time when Paris would have heroes randomly appear to stop crime. Most never made a second appearance. However, there were some cases where an old hero would reappear. There were also people wielding items similar to the Miraculous. Those were the only heroes that showed up continuously." Alya mutters, noticing the similarities this information has with Hawkmoth's Akumatizations.
"It can't be, though. Why would Hawkmoth suddenly start terrorizing Paris?" Alya mutters as she bites into the bottom of her pencil.
If Roland Dupain's story is true, there's a chance Hawkmoth was one of the heroes he talked about. And one of the other heroes he described was similar to Brawling Tiger. So, there's a possible connection there, too.
