MEET REANNE reannekennedy17 on WATTPAD
I was born and raised in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. I'm a 3rd year university student majoring in Sustainable Geography.
I've been writing since I could first hold a pen, but lost interest throughout high school. After high school, I joined Wattpad and began writing again. I started with YA Fiction, and then switched to New Adult Romance. In late 2020, I joined the Wattpad Stars Program and the Paid Stories Program. My Young Adult Story Bending the Rules won a Wattys award in 2020, and my New Adult Romance story, The Florist and the Pastry Chef was shortlisted in 2021. My favourite genre to write is New Adult Romance with a lot of spice! All of my stories are located in Canada, particularly the Okanagan, where I live.
Whenever I'm writing, I need a song that summarizes the chapter. Because music plays such a prominent role in my writing, I listen to a lot of it. My favourite artists are Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Arkells, Lord Huron, Hozier, Imagine Dragons, Hollow Coves, and The Treble. While alternative is my main genre, I also listen to lots of country music. But mostly Taylor Swift, with reputation and evermore being my favourite albums.
My favourite books are the An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir , the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi, the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, The Simple Wild by KA Tucker, and Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting. Okay, well, I'm a MAJOR fan of KA Tucker and Helena Hunting. They're my two favourite authors, and I adore all their books. The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue also deserves a shoutout.
For movies, I adore 10 Things I Hate About You, A Cinderella Story (the one with Hilary Duff), Easy A, Crazy Stupid Love, Shrek, Tangled, Anastasia, Coraline, and Spirited Away. My favourite TV shows are Nancy Drew, Bridgerton, Schitt's Creek, Letterkenny, Workin' Moms, and anything on the Food Network.
I am an avid hiker. When there's no snow in West Kelowna, you can find me outside on the thousands of hiking trails we have here. I also have two cats named Otis and Evie because cats are better than dogs.
