MEET DAISY ScarlettBlackDaisy on WATTPAD
Daisy, ScarlettBlackDaisy on Wattpad, is a twenty-something-year-old Asian writer. Off Wattpad, I'm a clinical psychologist, criminologist, social worker, and IB-psychology facilitator. Being an avid reader for as long as I can remember, I started writing at the age of 14, propelled into it by my O'Levels Literature teacher who saw a knack for writing in me. Despite English being my fourth language, it was the one I chose to write in. Writing has been the only stability in my otherwise eventful life.
I joined Wattpad in 2018, started my first story in late 2018, and joined the Wattpad Ambassadors. It was in 2019 that one of my stories reached a million reads. Another was featured in the 2020 new year's reading list before Knowing Xavier Hunt joined the Paid Program in February 2020. I was invited to join the Stars Program in March, and have been a part of it for two years now. Although I was a senior Wattpad Ambassador and lead of Profiles Teenfiction and ProfileMentalHealth, I stepped back from it last month because of my offline commitments, with an over four-year experience as an Ambassador.
My stories fall in the YoungAdult/NewAdult category, with a focus on mental health and social issues. While romance is sprinkled throughout my stories, they're pretty dark and unconventional, stemming from my experience as a psychotherapist. Since my characters are based on real people, I talk about issues I've seen close up, and they're not pretty. I'm not triggered by anything, but I do have several trigger warnings in my stories. I want a story that will make me cry, because mine can surely do that.
In my free time, I listen to underrated music, and occasionally dabble in other creative expressions. I'm not a huge fan of romcoms, but I can spend hours binging discussions on philosophy, psychology, and true crime. Talk to me about anything meaningful and I'll stay interested.
