"Boring, all of this is boring!" Mike whined.
The whole party was sitting in Mike's basement, trying to find out what else to do for the rest of the vacation.
"Calm down MIKE, we're trying to find something to do, don't be such a drama queen!" Lucas declared in a bristling voice tone.
"AGHHH BUT ITS ALL BORINGGGG, nothing happens we can't just sit in my basement all day long!!!" he just kept hollering and buried his face into his hands.
"Calm down Mike, I'm sure we'll find something.." El tried to comfort him somehow, while gently patting his shoulder. Will glanced over to them.
I should be the one patting his shoulder and comforting him, not her. Don't get me wrong El is an amazing friend really, I am thankful to have her she helped me through a lot of things when no one else understood but I couldn't stand it to see her with him, it made me want to rip out my eyes out of anger.
"How about we go to the swimming pool?" Dustin asked.
Mike's answer followed "Boring" .
"The arcade?"
"Boring"
"Eat ice cream?"
"Boring"
"Watch a movie in the cinema?"
"Boring, boring and BORING." what followed was a groan of the black-curled boy. "We already did all of those things be more.. creative!"
"HEY! What are you insinuating Wheeler!?" Dustin yelled, offended.
"I'm insinuating your creativity, HENDERSON!" Mike looked up and gave Dustin a glare.
"Calm down, both of you! Geez you're being such little kids again!" Max scolded both of them. "We won't find a damn solution if you deny everything Mike!"
"Hey, don't drag me into this, I'm not the one with the bad ideas here!" Mike groaned.
"Oh I'll give you bad ideas you idiot-" Dustin was so ready to attack Mike with all his will and power.
"What about a summer party?"
Everything went quiet and the eyes fell on El.
"It's just an idea you know.." she looked away nervously and went back to being quiet again.
Lucas started grinning and nodded. "Your girlfriend is a real genius man."
Mike, prepared to attack Dustin back, slowly put his hands down and gave El a kiss on the cheek. "I know right, she definitely is!"
Max couldn't help but roll her eyes a bit at what Mike just did but she liked El's idea and nodded, just like Lucas.
"Sounds fun, I'm in!" Dustin gave Mike a last glare and moved away some steps, then sat down again.
"Cool, we can do it on Saturday, my parents aren't home there, we'll invite some people from our class-" Mike began listing all the stuff just to be interrupted by Max.
"Mike, this was El's idea not yours."
"Right, sorry." Mike sank back a bit and remained silent after Max's statement.
"No it's okay, I like the idea. Mike could play his guitar too maybe?" El leaned her head on Mike's shoulder and smiled a bit.
A summer party? That would mean watching El and Mike being the couple they are and Mike playing love songs for her and not me. In other words: I would have to watch them being the romantic and cute couple they are while thirdwheeling again. Plus I don't like crowded places anyways.
"A summer party? Eh.. I don't know, I don't think I'll be coming to be honest.." Will mourned a bit. This was the first time he said something during this hangout today.
"What, why? You don't like the idea? You know we don't have to do it then it was just a suggestion and-" Mike gave him a concerned facial expression.
"It's okay I'm busy anyways you just do the party I'll be fine.." the brunette mumbled.
"Nah ah Byers!" Dustin exclaimed. "You either come over or we ain't doing that summer party, you know!?"
Will couldn't help but smile a bit. Dustin was the only one in the party who still sort of gave a shit about him being left out or not.
Come on Will, do it this could be your chance!
No Will, that's stupid you know you'll never have a chance with him, he's not into guys anyways plus he has a girlfriend you dumbass!
Well if you ain't going for him then go for yourself, amuse yourself a bit, have fun don't make it all about him!?
He nodded. "Fine you got me, I guess I don't have an other choice then do I?"
Dustin gave him a friendly clap on the shoulder. "I would have dragged you out of your room if I had to"
"Ahah.. thank you but no thank you" he moved to the side a bit and his eyes fell on Mike again. He was sitting with El, already planning everything. They seemed so in love. The hazel-eyed boy let out a quiet sigh and looked away again.
Max noticed that and that's where everything became clear.
