Their frail opponent just stood growing bored with each basic attack Aki threw at them. "Fucking weak bitch" they said at Aki. Aki froze in shock but they quickly decided that they had a solution.

They stopped the battle and focused all their nen on themselves. Combining some of their current abilities they created a new ability. It used enhancer techniques to increase the strength of both power and defence, manipulator to control the victims and many more. It was impossible to overcome. Their ability made their opponent under a spell. The spell in question turned them into a doll. A perfect porcelain face with glassy blue eyes and rosy pink cheeks. The doll would do whatever the master commanded. And that is how they beat them. The once frail opponent was now a decapitated children's toy. That was easy.

Selecting for another battle, they were confused. The person who stood before them was average all around. There was no special physical abilities or any aura. Strange. They used the rhythm echo technique to decide what to do for the murder.

Fuck.

There was a sudden spike in their opponents aura as they charged towards aki. Despite Aki using rhythm echo their opponent knew exactly where they were causing them to step out of the echo and back to normal.

Fuck.

Not knowing what to do they panicked and used a gecho nen technique. They camouflaged into the walls and shadows needing a plan.

What could they do?

Think, think, think. They didn't know what to do. The only thing they could think of was to have a battle of nen. How could they do that?

They had been in fights with many stronger opponents than this one as they knew they were stronger than this person. But that's not the issue. This isnt akis turf, they don't have that advantage.

That's it. They found their opening! It's so obvious now. Just how weak these opponents are.

With their new information aki went for the kill slicing their opponents neck in under a second.

Although growing in strength aki found them easier as they went along. How didn't they notice before. The trick. It's so simple yet effective.

After they finished their last match they were lead to a room. There was a weaponry wall, a timer and a blank screen. The timer read "65 hours" aki blinked. It took them 7 hours! That was terrible for them.

The blank screen light up reveling lippo. "Good job. You made it but it's not over yet." He started. "Fuck offff" aki complained. "One last challenge before it's over." He paused, "for this last challenge you need to go on a treacherous journey to the end of the phase" and just like that he disappeared.

Aki sighed but stocked up on weapons anyway. They activated en and senced the wall was hollow. They broke it with the weapons and it revealed another corridor. They followed that path until they reached a door.

Behind the door was a slide. They went down the slide and wouldn't admit it but they had fun. At the bottom of the slide they saw the exit and started to walk down the remaining corridor to get there.

Suddenly, an axe fell from the ceiling. It chopped off some of akis hair but nothing major. Fuck. It was a trap. Weapon after weapon appeared from nowhere and aki couldn't sence them as they were too fatigued to use en or any type of nen for that matter.

The last weapon hopefully. One last axe swung towards aki narrowly missing their face.

'Holy shit. That was a close one.' Aki thought before opening a door to reveal yet another corridor. 'Fucking hell' they complained to themselves aloud.

They continued down the next corridor and the next and the next feeling like they were going in circles.

They opened the next door and found another room with a screen and 3 doors. As the door to the other corridor closed the screen lit up revealing lippo.

"So close yet so far. Three more doors and only one of which lead to the correct path. Choose wisely or else." And just like that the screen went blank.

Fuck.

they ran out of the energy to use nen but they were so close. what if they dont make it to the end? will they also get imprisoned in this hellhole of a jail? they needed to think fast. they didnt know what would happen if they stayed trapped in that room but they needed to rest.

just 5 minutes they thought to themself as they slid down the wall to rest. just like most people however they fell asleep for more than five minutes. when they reawakened the timer read 50 hours remaining. no wonder why they felt so refreshed, they were asleep for 15 hours.

they got up from their seated position and activated en. they could sense people had already completed the phase and the room was located to the left.

passing through the long corridor they used zetsu to conserve their energy. not too long after, they reached the end and the wall rose as though they were in a secret passage.

"Aki Lucifer. Contest number #1 _ to pass. 22 hours exactly 50 hours remaining"

Aki made their way over to hisoka and gitturakur as they didn't know what to do as they were fully rested.

"Hi boys" they said as they sat down with their legs crossed.

Hisoka gave them a look then smirked. He then shuffled his cards and dealt.

A/n : happy new year!!!! I can't believe I started writing this a year ago. Also I'm so sorry for bit updating for a while I had writers block and this felt like a chore to write for sometimes. However I'll try to finish this exam a little faster now as well I've only got 2 phases left. I'm not too sure what I want to happen after the exam but I'm probably going to alow Aki to grow closer to gon, killua and maybe hisoka. If I can do that successfully we will be getting the zoldyk mansion arc but if not then we will timeskip to the heavens arena.
