Chapter 17

They all waited in a long queue to enter the building. Who would have thought so many people thought they were capable. Even gonna and Killua could tell they were pathetic for even trying and they can't even use nen!

Whilst waiting in line they all spoke about their goals in life.
"I'm not sure what I want to do yet but I know that I want to keep being friends with Gon no matter what Illumi says" Killua started the conversation before it shifted over to Gon, "now that I'm a hunter, I'm going to find my dad!". This shocked Aki as this was her goal too. However unlike Gon she had no lead to follow. She had no name nor face, no job nor location.
"Strangely enough I have the same goal as Gon" she laughed out.
The other two held a perplexed look for a second before bursting out into a fit of laughter.

They continued to talk for a while until they were next in line. They all went in together and went to separate booths to sign up.

Aki filled out the form leaving the surname part of the name blank. She didn't know her surname after all.

"Aki your number is #20556 please remember this as this is what will be called when you are called to the arena to fight"

She went up the the stands with gon and Killua waiting for their numbers to be called. Everyone on this floor seemed unnecessarily weak so she had no worries the two younger boys wouldnt pass.

"#20556 and #13270 to arena a" the intercom called out causing her to standed uttering a quick thats me to the two boys.

The arena was quite large and would have been quite intimidating if she was weak. Their opponent was extremely weak despite the bulging muscles all across his body.

'This will be so boring' Aki thought as the referee yelled begin.

Her opponent, an unsuspecting bodybuilder, charged toward her only to be knocked flying into the wall from a simple kick.

Aki won the fight and was sent up to the 50th floor. She waited their for gon and Killua who showed up only a few minutes later.

They all registered for their next fight where Killua explained it would probably be soon as they completed the first fight extremely quickly and got out if it uninjured. When they received their prize money gon and Aki were shocked by how little they received. Killua explained how the money increased with each floor and on this floor you only got enough to buy a juice from the vending machine.

They all passed their second match just as easily as the first one and made their way to the 60th floor where they took the time to rest and interrogate Killua about the higher floors. He responded with how he didn't know or couldn't remember that well.

All the matches were running smoothly and within a week they made it to the hundredth floor. While they were in the lift there was a young kid in traditional martial arts clothing enter. Aki could tell that he was a student learning nen but couldn't say anything because of gon and Killua.

Gon struck up a conversation with the kid who introduced himself as zushi. "What technique do you study? I study the shingen Ryuu technique." he stated clearly curious about the other kids being there. Gon and Killua looked quiet clueless at this explaining they didn't follow a technique. Aki just stayed silent she couldn't reveal her nen yet.

They left the lift at the hundredth floor where zushi met his master, Wing.

They all went to sign up for their matches and waited for their names to be called out. Her and gon had some random opponents but Killua had zushi.

A/n: heyy sorry these past two chapters have been really bad I want to continue this book but Im also working on my other books as well. I also haven't written hunter x hunger for a while so sorry if this isn't too good or accurate to the anime. This part has passed through quite a lot in a short period of time which I apologize for and I promise I'll try to get better on that. Most of this part was just a filler chapter however.
