the flesh that made him.

an insatiable hunger,
which leaves one to wonder
why it is he desires

God's blood on his fingertips
and with his stomach now satisfied
he then aims to eat the devil's heart
in hopes that
maybe--
just maybe--
his painful hunger will cease.
