Cold Heat

There is a note that's burning in the heart of a broken mind

A tune of thunderous anger and sorrowful mysteries

A lie, perhaps--
Or maybe a hidden truth.

It speaks louder than the words weaved by the universe

A starry night reflecting faces scrunched in pitiful sorrow.

A body so cold holding bruises with a tight smile

How could one simply laugh it off?
As they lie with their hands hidden deep in their grave

Was it a weakness, or maybe a stone cold truth?

That people are more than just heat?

No,
It's just cold heat.
