"What!? No way! What if I burn to dead!?" I yelled out. Ixeor tried to calm me down.
"Don't worry. I will get you out before you can die." Ixeor said.
"Oh! Now you say I can die!"
"Come on, young Zain. You must know I am here to protect and train you. Not to harm you." Ixeor said. I rolled my eyes annoyingly. I wasn't going to let myself get locked up in a burning room. I saw Luna through the corner of my eye. I remembered Ixeor's words from a few months agao..
"If he doesn't learn to control his powers... I see no future for you."
I sighed and looked down to the ground.
"Fine." I said. Ixeor nodded. He signed for Luna to leave and turned to me.
"Listen carefully, young Zain. You will get trapped after I set the room in fire. There are only two ways to survive. The first one is that you use your Fire magic to resist the fire and to put the fire out. The second way is when you are almost burning to dead, you slam the wall and you yell for us to let you out." Ixeor explained. I nodded. I sighed and walked towards the middle of the platform.
"Please, just set the room on fire." I said. Ixeor nodded and took out his wand from his robes. He started mumbling some words and I saw fires coming up from the ground. Ixeor left the room and the wall closed behind him.The flames got higher and higher. I tried to avoid the fire, but they started to come from every corner in the room. I was drawn to a wall. I was surrounded by fires. I had to do something. I tried to walk through the fire, but it burned me. I screamed in pain. I didn't know getting burned would hurt so much. I grabbed my arm in pain and stepped back to the wall. I closed my eyes and tried to focus. Suddenly it felt like time had slowed down. All I heard was my own heavy breathing. I lowered my arms along my hips. I opened my hands and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes. I pushed my hands forward. The fire slid away from me. I stopped pushing my hands forward and walked towards the exit. The fire backed away as if it was scared of me.
I walked towards the exit, when the fire suddenly attacked me. I ran to a fire-free space. I grabbed my chest in pain. The fire had burned a hole in my shirt and it burned my chest. I heard muffled voices on the other side of the wall. The fire got closer and closer. I realised I had to give up, but I didn't want to. I wanted to keep trying, but the smoke got in my longs and the fire had burned my body several times. I slammed the door.
"Please! Open the door!" I yelled. I started coughing. The wall started opening up when I fainted. When I woke up, I saw Luna's worried face looking down on me, while patting a wet rag on my forehead. She was very excited when I opened my eyes. She stood up and later came back with Aeryn and Ixeor.
"Are you okay, mate?" Aeryn asked. I nodded. But when I tried to sit straight, the burned places on my body started hurting, forcing me to lay back down. Aeryn grabbed another wet rag and put it on one of my burned spots, but I slapped it right of. It was to painful. Ixeor sighed and started pacing around the room. He started mumbling and I got nervous. Did I fail? Did I do something wrong? Finally, Ixeor stopped and looked at me.
"I do not know what to do. I have tried everything." Ixeor looked devastated.
"This has never happened to me before." I heard him mumble.Aeryn opened her mouth to say something, but she changed her mind and closed it again.
"What did you want to say, Aeryn?" Luna asked. Aeryn doubted for a little while before she talked.
"I know it is risky, but have you tried dragon fire? Aeryn asked. Ixeor looked shocked.
"What did you just say?"
