Virsorrith looked at me. I got more nervous by the minute. I realised I did care if I would get hurt or if I died. I heard the wall close and Virsorrith sighed. He looked down and sighed again, before looking me in my eyes.
"Listen. You are young. I could severely hurt you. I might even kill you. I don't want to have the murder of the Saviour on my name. That is not my destiny. Please, rethink your decision." He said. I shook my head.
"No I a- wait? Saviour!? I am no Saviour? I'm just helping my friend, Luna." I said, confused. Virsorrith laughed.
"Okay, if you say so, Rohan. But, what did you want to say?" He said.
"Uhh I-I- uhh... I'm sure." I said, still confused that he called me the 'Saviour.' Virsorrith sighed again.
"Okay." Virsorrith walked towards the other side of the room."I must warn you, my fire is pretty strong." Virsorrith said, before turning back around. He opened his mouth and white fire came bursting out. At first I dodged the fire, still thinking about my experience earlier today. But I realised I needed to touch the fire to be able to rescue Luna. I had pressed myself against a wall, but I slowly walked towards the fire, that was still coming out of Virsorrith's mouth. I felt heart beat pressing against my chest. Sweat was running down my face. This was it. This was the moment I'd ether severely burn myself or that I'd touch the fire and then I'd finally be able to control Fire.
I got closer and closer. I could feel the heat of the dragon fire. I was frightened, but also confident that I would succeed. I stretched my arm out towards the fire. I closed my eyes, thinking my hand would burn. My hand got closer to the fire, until I finally reached the fire. It didn't burn. I was more a ticklish feeling. I opened my eyes in disbelief. I actually touched the fire. It didn't hurt. I felt fine. Virsorrith stopped breathing fire and laughed while clapping his hands.
"You did it, Rohan!" He said. I was so relieved and happy, that I cheered. The door opened and Luna came running in. When she saw I was fine, she hugged me tight.
"I knew you could do it." She whispered in my ear. Aeryn giggled and walked towards us to join the hug. Virsorrith was a bit hesitant, but when I signed him to join, he happily did. Ixeor proudly smiled and clapped his hands. We all let go of each other. I looked in Luna's eyes. Her pretty, sparkling eyes. Virsorrith gave me a firm pat on the back. Aeryn put her and on my other shoulder and I felt the happiest person on the planet."Very good, young Zain. Now, u must be able to move Virsorrith's fire any way you'd like." Ixeor said. I nodded and looked at Virsorrith. He understood my signal and walked back. He started breathing fire again and I focused on the fire. I moved my hands subtly and the fire started floating around. I widened my hands and the fire took the shape of a dragon. I put my hand together and the fire disappeared. I was so proud of myself. I could see the others were to. I have been training for months and I had always failed with Fire. Now, finally, I finished my training. I had finally became a Zain, worthy of his power. Luna hugged me again. When she let go, she had a huge smile on her face.
"I am so proud of you, Rohan!" She said, smiling.
"Thank you, Luna." I replied. We were silent for a while and we looked each other in the eyes.
"You did amazing! That was so wonderful!" Aeryn said. I looked away from Luna at Aeryn.
"Thank you! It felt truly amazing." I said. Virsorrith put his hands on my shoulder as a 'good job' and Ixeor just stood there, proudly smiling. This really brought me joy. I did it. I actually did it.We were all back in the 'main room' when Aeryn asked Virsorrith a question.
"Why don't you stay? We could really use your help." She asked. Virsorrith's eyes lit up.
"Y-you want me to stay?" He tried to hide his excitement. Aeryn nodded.
"Yes! Uhh- yes, I would like that." He said. Aeryn smiled and sat down. Virsorrith also sat back down next to me. The rest of the evening wasn't very interesting. We were just talking and after a while, I decided to go to bed.
