The Hogwarts train is different to last year. It's more hectic than ever. People are everywhere, clambering into whatever carriage they can find to gossip about the upcoming year.
I try to find Draco and Blaise through the crowds of people.
I spot a glimpse of white hair through one of the carriage windows. I push the door open happily.
I run to hug Draco but he pushes me away harshly.
"Draco?", i say before becoming aware of my surroundings.
Two boys sit across from Draco and Blaise. They both have brown hair and dark brown eyes.
"Oh, sorry", i say blushing immediately.
"You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend Draco", One of the boys laughs. Draco ignores the comment.
"(Y/N), meet Theodore or as we call him, Theo", he points to the boy who made the comment and then to the one sitting next to him. "And Mattheo".
"You can call me whatever you want though", he grins.
"Nice to meet you both", I hold my hand out for them to shake.
"Very formal", Theo jokes, taking a hold of my hand and kissing it.
Mattheo follows, doing the same.
"Really?", Dracos sighs.
"I'll give you a kiss too if you want one that bad",  he jokes.
"Sit down", Blaise gestures to the seat next to him.
I oblige and suddenly realize how angry Draco looks.
"So what year are you both in?", i ask.
"Same as you but i stayed back a year so this is my second year of fourth", Theo sighs.
"Theo is not the brightest", Draco smiles.
"Fuck off mate", He kicks him in the shin.
I flinch at the use of language and Mattheo notices and smirks, amused.
"Shouldn't use such language in front of a lady", he says charmingly.
"I'm used to it", i laugh.
"Mattheos old", Draco blurts out.
"Huh?".
"He's in fifth year", Draco says.
"Oh, okay", i smile awkwardly.
"Is that a crime", Says Mattheo.
"No just making sure we all know", Draco says.
"Now that we've established how old and grey Mattheo is can we please move on", Blaise says.
"How did you all meet?", i ask, ignoring Blaise.
"Spent my summer with these two pricks, their fathers are friends of my father", Draco explains.
"So that's why we're you too busy to write to me all Summer", i say shooting him an angry look.
"Dont be too harsh on him, he spent most of summer drunk", Theo laughs.
"You were the one who supplied the alcohol", Draco shoves him.
"You should be grateful for that. Theo hates sharing", Mattheo says reaching into his pocket and pulling out a cigarette.
"How the?", i say astonished.
"I have muggle friends", he smirks.
"Merlins beard, we learned about them in muggle studies. Mad addictive apparently", Blaise says.
"That's bloody true", he laughs.
"Want one?", he asks as he lights it with the end of his wand.
"She doesn't smoke", Draco says instantly.
"Who are you? Her dad?", Theo laughs and takes one of Mattheo.
"Give me one", Draco huffs.
"Only if you let (Y/N) try some", Mattheo grins evilly.
"I told you. She doesn't smoke", he says firmly.
"It's her choice though isn't it?", Mattheo questions.
"Yes it is", i interrupt and take a puff of the cigarette before coughing madly like an idiot.
Draco watches, his face tensing.
"Do whatever the fuck you want then", He snarls and gets up leaving the carriage angrily.
"Oh christ", sighs Blaise.
"How long have you two been together then?", Theo asks his words getting lost through smoke clouds.
"What? No, we're not together", i laugh.
"You're not?".
"They act like this all the time", Blaise laughs.
"Like what?", i question.
"Like a married couple", He laughs.
"Piss off", i say, testing out my new curse words.
"If you're not his girlfriend, why's he so protective and shit?", Mattheo asks.
"Just good friends", i say innocently.
Theo and Mattheo exchange looks.
"Soon to be more", Blaise winks.
"Not with his temper", I say thinking to myself.
"So basically, you're on the market then", Mattheo smiles cheekily.
"Do you mind? (Y/N)s like my sister", Blaise says disgusted. My heart warms slightly.
"It seems to me", Theo whispers loudly to Mattheo, taking another drag of his cigarette. "That if we want to get close to (Y/N) we're going to have to get through Draco and Blaise first", He rubs his chin in a business like fashion.
"Yep, that's right", Blaise says putting his hand around my shoulder in a brotherly fashion. I curl into his arms, yawning.
"Where is lover boy anyways?", Mattheo asks.
I jolt upwards suddenly.
"I should try find him, he's probably mad at me".
"Leaving us so soon?", Theo says sadly.
"It was nice meeting you", i smile.
"I've no doubt we'll meet again", Mattheo smirks.
"I'll see you at dinner?", Blaise says.
"You will", i grin.

I find Draco sitting in an empty carriage, smoking his own hand rolled cigarette.
He catches me looking through the window and he stares back at me for a moment.
I open the door and sit across from him.
"Hello", i say quietly.
"I didn't mean to snap", he says, looking down.
"It's okay. I shouldn't have teased you like that", he looks up and connects with my eyes.
"What do you think of them then?", he asks.
"Does it matter?" i say.
"Yes, to me it does".
I sigh, "They're interesting", i smile.
"As in, they're total pricks", he laughs.
"No, they're nice or you wouldn't be friends with them", i say.
"Sometimes i suspect you think too highly of me", his smile fades.
"What do you mean?", i question.
"Nothing. I missed you this summer", he says.
"Me too.", i look away from him.
"Are you okay after what happened at the match?", he asks.
"I've been through worse".
The carriage is silent for a moment.
"Here", he says, moving closer to me and lifting my chin with his hand. His skin is soft and cold, as i remember it.
He takes his cigarette and places it in between my lips.
"Breathe in slightly and keep breathing until i say stop", he says.
I do as he says and feel the smoke hit the back of my throat until it flows down into my lungs.
"Now breathe out", He instructs.
I breathe out the smoke obediently and his face disappears in the cloud.
"Good girl. Savor that because i'm never letting you smoke again", he grins.
"We'll see", i tease.
"Don't test me (Y/N)", he says, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Or what?", i ask.
"Trust me, you don't want to", he keeps his eyes on mine.
"What if i do", i say softly. He inches closer and for a moment i think i might have gone too far but then the carriage door opens abruptly.
"Hello!", Blaise says cheerfully.
"Evening Blaise", Draco sighs heavily.
"We're almost there you know, might wanna get changed", he advises.
"Good idea", i say getting up in a hurry.
"I'll be back", i say rushing out of the carriage.
My head is racing and my heart is thumping.
I don't like fourth year at all so far, not one bit.
Things are changing too fast.
