The Battle Before The War

Elliot's POV

"Alright!! Lets go on!! AND BE HEROES!!"

The rest of us cheer on...Kaikou, Quincy, Josiah, Callen, Souna...and those kids that I never got the names of but not the point-

We were all going to fight...

Fight for my freedom....

And my mother's....

On top the gigantic destructive robot, was my "father", the one who had caused all this destruction, and the one who had personally ruined my life first-hand, ever since I was small. I was going to make sure that he would pay for his crimes, all his crimes, and I'm going to make sure he gets a big punishment along with it also....

All for my mother....

"Hahahahaha- HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA- FINE!!! IF YOU WANT TO BE THAT WAY- THEN DO IT!! JUST KNOW THAT YOU'LL FULLY REGRET THIS STRAIGHT AFTER ELLIOT!!!" My "father" screams at the top of his lungs, honestly I couldn't care what he would say, but I had to take him seriously as well, for all I know, he could crush me at about any moment now.

"Father" steps back into the robot, and sooner or later, the giant robot gains back control, making giant creaking sounds, and obviously crushing the ground even more. All of us realize that we had to move- like- IMMEDIATELY- so all of us begin to run as fast as we can, dodging every single bullet that my father could fire at us!!

All of us finally reach at the bottom of the ditch, tumbling down and landing face first into the dirt, but we're pretty much fine- honestly!

"*pant pant* Okay- we got the showcase stuff out of the way- now what!?!" Callen asks me, I was a bit confused on what he was saying.

"What do you mean 'showcase stuff'!? All of what I said was real!!" I say to him, raising my eyebrow, his eyes then go wide, along with Souna's.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! WE'RE GONNA FIGHT- T-THAT!?!" Souna shrieks, basically shivering in her denim boots.

"Now I know that this might seem impossible-"

"No shit." The guy with the hoodie says, cutting me off immediately, I glare at him and begin again.

"But- come on, what about all the courage that we had when we were in front of him!! You don't want all of that to go to waste, do you?" I say to all of them, trying to reassure them, they all look at me awkwardly, sweating a bit, I still got no answer.

"Honestly Elliot-kun...we kind of just- went along with you- sure we had yuki(courage), but, we don't know if we can actually do this, we don't have supapawa(superpowers) like you..." Kaikou says to me, with a bit of disappointed look in her eyes, I look at the rest of them, they all had the same look.

"*sigh*...Souna...when you shot that spear at the robot, hitting it bullseye in the shoulder, how did you feel!?" I ask her, she looked around for a moment to see if I was actually speaking to her, she then turns back to me.

"Well- I honestly felt- powerful- in some type of way.." She says, quietly, shifting herself back and forth.

"Right! So you see! You don't need actual superhuman strength or- or some laser eyes to show that you have superpowers, because when you actually do something, and you're proud of yourself for it, you actually feel powerful yourself, not physically, but mentally, and emotionally, and those things, could sooner or later, transition to physically!" I say to all of them, trying to hype them up about this, their faces sooner or later changed.
