❝𝐈 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍, 𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐎𝐁𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒, 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓?❞ john b questioned as him and the rest of the pogues drove down the road. "a family heirloom. what better place to hide a message? he had to know it was gonna get back to me, right?"

"yeah. it's possible." kie nodded.

"it could also be possible that you're concocting wild theories to help, you know, deal with your sad feels. just how coby was doing when taylor disappeared." pope spoke up, making said girl look over at him with a small glare. "sorry."

first few weeks after taylor's disappeared, coby couldn't wrap her head around the fact that he just vanished. i mean, this was her older brother she was talking about. that boy promised to stay with her, no matter the circumstances, and for him to just up and leave like that didn't sit right with the girl. the night he disappeared, he had came into her room and had woken her up, saying a bunch of things in a panicked voice, but coby was still half asleep while he was saying it. and when she woke up the next morning, there was a letter left on her small desk and no sign of her brother. she tried to put pieces together on what had happened, telling her friends theories about everything. she even brought up ward cameron's name, but she always got shot down. john b believed her though because he was trying to come up for a reason on why his father disappeared too.
