Once reclusive, these brilliant dragons now dwell in every part of our world. Their description goes as so: slender, light-built dragons with bright color-changing scales and prehensile tails. They are able to become vertically invisible as well as spray corrosive venom from their topmost fangd.  Once thought to be lazy and useless, Rainwings  grew and thrived under the reign of Queen Glory, learning to hone and strength their skills and abilities. They have shown themselves to be creative, resourceful, and skilled craftsmen and healers. Each hybrid is another amazing coloration on the Rainwing spectrum.

Lightwings
Rainwing/Icewing hybrid

Beauty from both ends of the spectrum brought together into one truly-stunning creature. Their colors and patterns can vary (e.i. have self-morphing colors, limited color-changing abilities, diluted colored scales, etc.); their tails can vary as well (e.i. curled with spikes, curled with no spikes, normal spiked Icewing tail, or non-spiked Icewing tail). Their breath can be very unique, most possessing the ability to breathe "toxic ice", a mixture of ice and Rainwing venom. When their breath touches a dragon's scales, it freezes onto their skin and the venom seeps into them as the ice melts. . . A very long and painful way to die.

Other names: Aurorawings, Venomwings

Puddlewings
Rainwing/Mudwing hybrid

Sometimes beauty looks strange. The hybrids of the mighty Mudwing and the stunning Rainwing are known for their unusual diluted swirls of color on their wings and the edges of their scales. They are not very strong fliers; they are known to be lazy and uncaring, though some among them are known for weapon-making and blacksmithing. (See Full Description in Part Two)

Other names: Oilwings, Metalwings (for those in the blacksmithing profession)

Starwings
Rainwing/Nightwing hybrid

As vast and numerous as the stars in the universe due to the Nightwing Exodus and service under Queen Glory, these dragons have a simple beauty to them. Most commonly, they have the Nightwing coloring and build with multicolored speckles under their wings instead of silver, though other variations have been observed (e.i. black scales with an iridescent shine, dulled and blackened color-changing scales, speckles that self-morph and twinkle like stars, etc). (See Full Description in Part Three)

Other names: Galaxywings, Plaguewings (derogatory term)

Quickwings
Rainwing/Sandwing hybrid

Very musical and fun-loving dragons, most have remained neutral in the War. These dragons are very temperature-sensitive and are only able to live in either areas of the rainforest that are less humid or oasises in the desert, where water and shade reside. Their scales most commonly resemble the Sandwing- being pale yellow or brown- with iridescent flecks, stripes, or patches. Their most distinguishable feature is their tail; ninety percent of these hybrids possess the Sandwing's venomous tail combined with the length and flexibility of the Rainwing's prehensile tail, resulting in further reach and quicker strike capability. They also possess the ability to rotate between fire-breath, spitting Rainwing venom, or breathe the combination of the two, referred to as "death-fire."

Other Name(s): Strikewings

Riverwings
Rainwing/Seawing hybrid

The most water-dynamic dragons in both lands, these dragons prefer to dwell in freshwater lakes and large rivers. They are a slimmer version of Seawings, with all their swimming skills combined with the Rainwing's agility. Their coloring varies- common examples include: the normal Rainwing color-changing scales, self-morphing scales, or having normal Seawing scales with their glow-in-dark scales being able to change colors instead. Some of them can spit Rainwing venom, though it is nearly ineffective underwater.

Other Name(s): Dolphinwings, Agilewings, Algaewings (derogatory and racial term by Seawings)

Canopywings
Rainwing/Skywing hybrid

At first glance, these dragons tend to resemble slightly larger Rainwings. They almost always have the Rainwing color-changing scales, with the main difference being that their "default" scale color is Skywing red or orange instead of green. These dragons thrive on mountaintops or canopies of the rainforest, essentially places they can spread their wings freely. They can alternate between fire and Rainwing venom, or breathe "death-fire."

Spiderwings
Rainwing/Silkwing hybrid

The most colorful dragon in existence, Spiderwings are one of four Silkwing hybrids that undergo a form of Metamorphosis. Their Metamorphosis resembles the traditional Silkwing Metamorphosis, with the dragonet wrapping themselves into a silk coccoon until their wings have fully grown. Even though they have a Metamorphosis, these hybrids have yet to produce a flamesilk dragon. Because of both parent Tribes' inherit traits, Spiderwings are fantastic climbers, even able to climb up a sheer wall of rock or ice (hence their name). Their coloring is so unique and numerous, that it is believed that there are no two Spiderwings that look the same. Some hybrids possess the Rainwing venom, while others don't.

Other Name(s): Rainbowwings

Mahoganywings
Rainwing/Leafwing hybrid

A michevious, nature-attuned species, these dragons can be difficult to distinguish from their parent Tribes. The easiest way to tell the difference is their wings: when the hybrid more resembles their Leafwing heritage, there is an iridescent shimmer to their wing membranes whenever the sun shines through them; when they more resemble a Rainwing, there is a clear greenish-tint to the wing membrane. These dragons have strong leaf-speak abilities, and it is rumored that some are even able to communicate and control other things in nature (e.i. animals, insects, water, weather, fire, etc.).

Honeywings
Rainwing/Hivewing hybrid

Skilled spies and informants for both sides of the War, these dragons are not as sweet as their name suggests. Rather, their name comes from the warm, honey-colored tint of their eyes and- should their wings resemble that of a Hivewing- of their wing membranes. These dragons are venomous, having the potential to be the most venomous depending on what if any of the Hivewing toxins and poisons they are born with.
