Seawings embody the spirit of regalty, creativity, and adventure. Having the whole ocean at their talons, these dragons explore anything that captures that captures their interest- whether physically or mentally- and seek its improvement. Their skills and abilities as described in A Guide To The Dragons of Pyrrhia only enhance this mission: blue, green, or aquamarine scales to blend into their watery home; powerful tails and webbed claws to propel themselves through the tides; gills for breathing underwater; and their iconic glow-in-the-dark scales for lighting and communication. The blend of Seawing skills and intelligent creativity with that of the other tribes has produced hybrids that have furthered the Seawing's mission of improvement beyond their wildest dreams.
Brightwings
Seawing/Icewing hybridBrilliant and bright, these dragons often can look unique, but their abilities are unprecedented. If they possess gills, they can breathe underwater. They have great strength and endurance, and are able to see in the dark. They can withstand cold Artic waters and bright lights. Often, they possess Seawing's glowing scales; as for exhaling ice, they can do so or exhale a hard stream of water.
Bogwings
Seawing/Mudwing hybridThese dragons are very big and muscular due to their parent tribes' natural builds. Unfortunately, due to this fact, they have faced harsh prejudice and are seen as the joke of the dragon world. However, their skills and resolve are undeniable. Bogwings are very strong and are extremely powerful swimmers. No dragon can hold their breath longer than a Bogwing. They are nearly undetectable underwater and make very skilled spies for both sides of the War.

Deepwings
Seawing/Nightwing hybridAs a proud member of this species, I can tell you we are powerful and strong in both body and mind. All of us have the Seawing glow-in-the-dark scales in some form; the most common are along the sides of our underbelly or in replacement of the Nightwing silver scales on the underside of our wings. We can withstand extreme pressure, which means we can dive deeper than any other dragon type in our world. Most of us go on to become skilled scholars, writers, and scientists.
Riverwings
Seawing/Rainwing hybridThe most water-dynamic dragons in both lands, these dragons prefer to dwell in freshwater lakes and large rivers. They are a slimmer version of Seawings, with all their swimming skills combined with the Rainwing's agility. Their coloring varies- common examples include: the normal Rainwing color-changing scales, self-morphing scales, or having normal Seawing scales with their glow-in-dark scales being able to change colors instead. Some of them can spit Rainwing venom, though it is nearly ineffective underwater.
Other Name(s): Dolphinwings, Agilewings, Algaewings (derogatory and racial term by Seawings)
Oasiswings
Seawing/Sandwing hybridSolid and sturdy, but strange. Due to the contradicting natures of their parent Tribes, these dragons can only live at oasises in the desert or other similar habitats. For this reason, they are very rare and territorial. Their coloring is often a pale water-blue or a sandy-gray, but can vary. Most of them possess both the Sandwing tail barb and Seawing glow-in-the-dark scales. Due to their Seawing blood, they can possess animus powers.
Horizonwings
Seawing/Skywing hybridSkilled, strong, and as unpredictable as the ocean waves, hybrids of Seawings and Skywings possess skills envied by all the rest of dragonkind. With powerful wings, claws, and tails, these dragons tear through both water and sky with deadly force, often rumored to create whirlpools or whirlwinds whenever they take off. These dragons have a high chance of being animuses, as both parent tribes possess the genes. More than half of Horizonwings are able to breathe fire, or otherwise can exhale a stream of hot air that can boil water. Perhaps the most fascinating quality of Horizonwings surrounds the birth of a firescale egg. While a hybrid has yet to be born with this skill that we know of, it is speculated that they would possess remarkable heat resistance- as their scales would instantly boil the water around them.
Other name(s): Whirlwings
Webwings
Seawing/Silkwing hybridMystical and alluring. These community-oriented dragons are vibrantly colored and often travel in pods. Although they do enjoy swimming and being near the water like their Seawing relatives, they prefer to use their Silkwing silk to create suspended villages and homes above smaller bodies of water, like lakes or rivers. Many Webwings undergo Metamorphosis in order to grow their wings and it is often during this time that they could develop animus powers. This strange deviation of developing animus powers later in life- rather than being born with them like the other tribes- is one us scientists are still seeking to understand.
Other names: Podwings
Kelpwings
Seawing/Leafwing hybridStrange, allusive, and loners at heart, these dragons often dwell in kelp forests of the ocean, swamps, or other plant-heavy bodies of water. If they are unable to find these preferred lands, they often create and nurture such lands using their Leafwing-inherited leafspeak and- should they be born with animus powers- create their own landscapes and ecosystems.
Striderwings
Seawing/Hivewing hybridTemperamental by nature, these dragons can be fierce opponents one moment and the closest of allies the next. Outside of personality, these dragons stand out in appearance and skill. These dragons always have unique pure-black Seawing glow-in-the-dark scales that resemble shards of obsidian stone. When these scales glow, they often have a warm amber or fire-hot white/blue color. These dragons are often more slender than their Seawing counterparts- an attribute that they are deeply proud of.
However, their most treasured skill rests in their ability to walk across the surface of water- much like the water strider bug. The secret to this astounding ability is in the Hivewing poison or acid. For unexplained reasons, the glands for this poison or acid are stored within the Seawing webbing between the Striderwing's talons, and on their wings and tails. These glands create a water-resistant buoyancy that allows these hybrids to skim, run, and play on the water's surface.Other names: Snootywings (derogatory term by Seawings), Obsidianwings
