While Skywings may possess fewer abilities and skills than the other original tribes, they make up for it with ferocity, fortitude, and skills in battle. Their simplicity truly teaches one to never underestimate your opponent and that sometimes pure physical ability really can win the day. Indeed, their red or orange scales, wide wings, and fire-breath is enough to intimidate even the most able and skilled competitor. But of course, we know not everything is seen. All this raw strength, endurance, and intelligence was combined with the skills of the other tribes to produce some of the most powerful hybrids on our world.

Sleetwings
Skywing/Icewing hybrid

As large and broad as a snow-capped mountain, these hybrids tend to be the largest dragons in existence. They are powerful, skilled, and fierce. They can breathe alternating fire-ice with practice or have steam-breath.

Other names: Capwings

Mountainwings
Skywing/Mudwing hybrid

Very large and strong. These dragons are extremely strong fliers and can go higher in altitude than any other Tribe or hybrid, making them valuable for surveillance and reconnaissance. They are also powerful fire-breathers.

Risewings
Skywing/Nightwing hybrid

These hybrids, like any other with a Skywing parent, are powerful fliers. They are beautifully colored, often either a deep-crimson or a dark sunset-orange. It is rumored that those who possess the Nightwing ability of prophecy can see more clearly than any other dragon-type and those with mindreading can hear more clearly. Because of this, they are regarded as one of the wisest and most insightful dragons. They also have strong fire-breath.

Other Name(s): Moonwings (credit to Moonwatcher639 for the amazing suggestion and for letting me share their amazing idea with all of you!)

Canopywings
Skywing/Rainwing hybrid

At first glance, these dragons tend to resemble slightly larger Rainwings. They almost always have the Rainwing color-changing scales, with the main difference being that their "default" scale color is Skywing red or orange instead of green. These dragons thrive on mountaintops or canopies of the rainforest, essentially places they can spread their wings freely. They can alternate between fire and Rainwing venom, or breathe "death-fire."

Dunewings
Skywing/Sandwing hybrid

These dragons are large and dangerous. Their name derives from their ability to camouflage as sand dunes in the desert. Nearly all hybrids possess an abnormally large Sandwing tail barb, making their venom more potent and powerful. Because of their Skywing blood, they can also possess firescales and/or animus powers.

Horizonwings
Skywing/Seawing hybrid

Skilled, strong, and as unpredictable as the ocean waves, hybrids of Seawings and Skywings possess skills envied by all the rest of dragonkind. With powerful wings, claws, and tails, these dragons tear through both water and sky with deadly force, often rumored to create whirlpools or whirlwinds whenever they take off. These dragons have a high chance of being animuses, as both parent tribes possess the genes. More than half of Horizonwings are able to breathe fire, or otherwise can exhale a stream of hot air that can boil water. Perhaps the most fascinating quality of Horizonwings surrounds the birth of a firescale egg. While a hybrid has yet to be born with this skill that we know of, it is speculated that they would possess remarkable heat resistance- as their scales would instantly boil the water around them.

Other name(s): Whirlwings

Mothwings
Skywing/Silkwing hybrids

Quirky. Curious. Seclusive. All these words accurately describe these hybrid dragons. These dragons are large and colorful, often being in various shades of warm colors like reds, oranges, yellows, and golds. Their wings are their most notable trait, as they are so large and beautiful- right from the moment they emerge from their Metamorphosis. These dragons also possess the greatest skill with fire and consider it their most valuable resource. There is a legend of the "Flamewing", which will be an aminus dragonet born with both firescales and the ability to spin flamesilk.

Other names: Firewings

Sequoiawings
Skywing/Leafwing hybrids

As formidable and sturdy as their namesake, these dragons live in the deepest forests of oak, pine, and other tall trees. They have impeccable leafspeaking abilities and any animus among them are known to make a two-year pilgrimage to produce more of these towering trees and other plant life across both lands. Seen as peaceful nomadics, it is considered the worst of war crimes to kill or otherwise harm one of them, especially a pilgrimming animus. Sequioawings often resemble their Skywing parents, except in coloring. Instead of red or orange, these hybrids are more commonly in shades of green or brown. Despite their ability to breathe fire, they are the only fire-breathing Silkwing hybrids that have yet to produce flamesilk.

Other names: Wanderwing (name for pilgrimming animuses)

Hornetwings
Skywing/Hivewing hybrids

Highly aggressive, territorial, and fast-producing, these dragons form the majority of the Pantala army. Often resembling larger versions of Hivewings with Skywing's massive wings, they can possess all or none of the Hivewing abilities. They have amazing stamina and should they possess Hivewing venom or acid, can produce death-fire. As terrifying and undefeatable as these dragons seem, they have yet to produce a firescale dragon that lives longer than two years. The common consensus among doctors and scientists is that the mixture of Hivewing venom and the flames on their scales creates death-fire internally, which slowly kills the dragonet. As tragedic as this is, it is also the only thing keeping the Pantalan army from completely dominating the known world.
