the bar buzzed with customers during the lunch hour, usually at this time random humans would come in to have a drink. whether it was cause they had a rough day, or a fun hangout between friends.
felix poured drinks behind the counter while nabi cleaned some dirty glasses and utensils. she fumbled with the cloth and tried to get every speck of mildew off.
nabi stacked the remaining clean glasses up as she put her rag away. she then went to help her dad put out the drinks for the people waiting. she handed a couple drinks to different people, each of them being very polite to her.
just then, changbin walked in. he wore all black attire with a black dad cap to match along with it. he wore black boots as well which made him look taller in a way.
"changbin hyung! your here finally what took you so long?" felix asked walking behind the counter returning the tray.
"sorry i had to take care of some things at home, i'll start right away." he apologized raising his hands up in defense. he went behind the counter as-well to clock into his shift. nabi chuckled internally knowing how mad her father would be if changbin were to be late at one more shift.
"even nana had to do some of the work you do, get a grip hyung." felix scolded the older. it was such an interesting dynamic to nabi. as she watched changbing just awkwardly smile at felix and apologize to him, it made her think about how forgiving and gracious felix was. no matter how many times changbin would be late to shifts, felix always either scolded him or "threatened" him. usually normal work places would fire those type of people. but felix wasn't like that, he truly trusted changbin and treated him like family.
nabi then took off her black apron and hung it up on the clothes rack in a storage closet.
"i'm gonna go out for a bit, im just gonna head to innie's place." she said to felix who looked at her.
"make sure you wear that thing before you head out. and wear a sweater it's a little windy outside." felix remiced to her. nabi nodded knowing what felix meant by "that thing". he clearly was stating the protection necklace which minho and felix had made a requirement for her to wear.
nabi then ran upstairs to go and grab her cardigan and the necklace. she clasped the necklace around her neck then proceeded to put on her cardigan. she then ran back downstairs to leave, blowing kisses at both felix and changbin who just smiled dearingly at her.
nabi walked along the sidewalk, eyeing at how the leaves on the trees rustled and blew with the wind. she eyed at how a cute couple were enjoying lunch together outside, despite the chilly weather. she'd wish she could someday have a day like that. it was ideal to her, she's never even been on a picnic her entire life.
before the young girl knew she arrived at jeongin's shop quite quickly. she entered through the door, the aroma of the insense hitting her nose immediately.
"thank you have a nice day!" jeongin smiled at the customer who smiled back. the customer then left, the bell above the door ringing as they opened it. finally jeongin caught sight of nabi.
"nana! what brings you here? buying something again?" he asked walking towards her. nabi shaked her head at him.
"no, i just wanted to chill here for a bit." she cheekily smiled and jeongin tilted his head at her but shrugged.
"okay then, are you feeling better? y'know after what happened?" he asked in worry, walking over to the shelves to clean them.
"good as ever! i'm peachy." she joked.
"hopefully you going back to your studies and training won't be that hard for you. just tell your father if something happens okay?"
"i will, don't worry." she promised the older.
she had hoped that something like that wouldn't happen again. she never would want someone to harm her dad. her dad was fragile, she knew that. not just because he was just a mere human, but he needed to be protected. luckily minho is there for him. but nabi wondered how long he would, and how well he could protect felix.
"wanna manifest some hottie coming your way at school or something? i'm bored." jeongin complained whilst "cleaning".
"you read my mind." nabi smirked.
