I didn't know everyone felt the need to push my buttons. I wanted more than anything to just snap but I couldn't because despite how horrible they are I would feel bad. So I just took it. Took every insult, took every injury. Buried it inside. I never told anyone. But they knew if the teacher hadn't seen it, they had assumed. I have a family of cops of course they had some idea. I don't think they thought it was this bad.
I lay at the bottom of the steps falling in and out of consciousness. The railing seemed miles away. I didn't feel like I could move, maybe I just didn't try. I could feel the world moving around me. No one check. They all just kept bustling and moving around. The teachers were in a frenzy.
Sylvie and Gabby rush in. They had been filled in by the principal who met them out front. "Allison hey" Gabby said getting her attention "can you tell us what happened" "balcony" I manage to get out. None of us had met. But we all knew of each other. There were so many first responders yes but it was a very small world you end up knowing everything about each other. They had also seen me with dad or Hank many time. I see gabby look up before putting a c collar on me "did she fall or was she pushed" "what's it matter" "a person who's pushed falls further and that can cause more injuries" Sylvie explained "she fell" they look up "think we both know your lying" gabby said rolling me as they side the backboard underneath "can we get some help" Sylvie asks forcing teacher to jump into action helping them lift me onto the stretcher.
I was wheeled into the hospital. It felt like gabby was speaking another language as she rattles stuff off. It all felt like a haze. The test and doctors running around.
"Allison" Adam said pausing as he walked past. "Hey can you get a message to Al we have been trying to call him" "yeah his undercover I'll get a message to him" he pulls his radio out looking at me he said a bunch of stuff that I didn't catch my eyes not leaving him "go for Voight" "we got to pull O Sarge Allison's in hospital" "she ok" "I don't know but I'll find out" I hear Adam say. He was talking to the doctor briefly, I didn't hear they couldn't actually tell him anything. He glanced at me before he began to leave "Ad" I try my voice sounded foreign "Adam" I finally got his name out he froze. "Don't let my mum be alone with me" I gasp out clutching onto him. He looked so helpless we barely know each other, he didn't know what to do. "Justin" my eyes feel like they were going to close. He pulled his phone out "sarge she I can't leave her she doesn't want to be alone with her mum...yeah shes in and out consciousness she asked for Justin" I hear him say I was still holding his hand.
I open my eyes looking at him. "Voight is calling Justin sending him over until he gets here I have an order to not leave until him Justin or your dad is here apparently you and your mother are quiet bad" "understatement" my voice slurred a bit "what happened if you don't mind me asking" "bully" I said before falling unconscious.
"Hey princess Millie" Justin said noticing me open my eyes "hi" "was it who I think it is" "blonde hair" all I could see was the blonde hair flowing in every direction as I fall backwards. He squeezes my hand sighing. "Fantastic she's seen you now you can leave" my mother said. I didn't understand why she was like this but the best person on earth to Lexi and dad. They didn't know how bad it was only Hank and Justin. Camille knew to. "Don't think I will" he snapped squeezing my hair to reassure me he won't leave. "I'm going to get a doctor" she rushed out of the room. "I want to die" I had tears dripping down my face. He weakly smiles at me "no you don't you can't leave me" he wipes my eyes before glancing at the door "I think it's best we don't let her back in" I hear Hank say my eyes not leaving Justin's.
Hank walks over kissing my head "how's my princess" I weakly smile "ok" "your dads on his way there working on safely getting him out can't have two Olinskys in hospitals" "if that happens I might have to change my name to Voight" they both laugh "how" I take a deep breath feeling my chest tighten "how did you get her to stay away" "spoke to a certain person in charge" "you could have just said you spoke to Sharon" he smirks shrugging sitting down beside Justin. It seems they only seemed so friend towards each other when in my presence.
"When can I leave" I ask not aware that anyone else had walked in. I was holding Justin's hand refusing to let go. "Well you have swelling on your brain so we are waiting to see if that goes down" Dr Halstead said right as dad ran in "I'm sorry I took so long" he said hugging me and kissing my head "Hank and Justin kept me company" I told him finally letting go of Justin's hand hugging him. "How is she Dr" he asks "as I was saying she has swelling on the brain which we are monitoring it should go down by itself she as a dislocated elbow which he managed to put back in place while she was unconscious" "should we worry about her falling asleep or slurring her words" Hank asks "not right now that's just the swelling" Dr Halstead assures.
My hand had found it's way back to Justin's. "who did this Allie baby" dad asks "uh" my mind felt jumbled "the girls at her school" Justin told them "I know who" he added I felt someone stroke my hair "heard you got my wife kicked out" "you would to if you heard what Cami said after she left" Hank said "she been calling you" "she's been keeping Lexi away" Justin adds in "how do you" dad began "she's messaging me she knows i wouldn't be anywhere else" "I always knew she had a problem with Cami girl" Dad said. Dad, Hank and Justin don't really have one nickname for me. They have thousands all of which I reply to. Justin normally sticks to Allie or Millie but dad and Hank bounce between my first and last name like a tennis match. "Your going to be ok" dad assures "of course she is she's our Millie girl" Justin said "charge" I said "you want them to pay" Hank asks making me nod which ends with a groan and me crying in pain.
