-Ray's POV-
While sitting down, and listening to Emma, I really can't do anything but listen. I can't promise anything to her just because she is having my kid, those are just empty promises.
She's worried and when she's worried, she has a hard time doing everyday things. That's just the way Emma is.
What should I do to help her?
Hug her?
Wait for her to finish?
Make an empty promise?
Give words of advice?
I don't know. All I know is what I can't do, and that is sounding unsure. I have to make sure she can rely on me.
"Ray?"
"Hmm?"
"Help. Please, I need help with this."
I look at Emma and smile. She starts to calm down a bit.
"Emma, that's why I am here. I am here to help you," I move closer, and change my position to hug her. "You are going to be a great mother to this child. You are going to be great."
I break the hug and look at her again. She has tears in her eyes. Her hair is a mess, as always.
"We are going to get through this, and I will be there with you every step of the way."
Then she broke. She leans into me and puts her head on my chest. I hug her tightly and rock back and forth slightly.
I close my eyes as I am hugging her. I don't like hearing her cry. It hurts me.
I felt like I needed to protect her. Emma can definitely protect herself, but this sense of protection felt different. I can't explain it. Which is weird.
I start to notice her calming down, "Do you wanna sleep and discuss things in the morning, or do you want to do it now?"
She buried her head deeper in my shoulder, "Let's do it in the morning." She says between sniffles.
"Okay."
~The next day~
-Nobody's POV-
The two teenagers sit and talk on the bed and discuss the necessary things they need to talk about. They talk about everything but living together.
They leave that topic for later on when they are around their parents.
The two finish talking; do some homework that is due on Monday (With it being Saturday right now) and start to get ready for the doctor's appointment coming up.
-Ray's POV-
Emma goes into the bathroom to change, and I go over to my desk. I look at the paper that is in my drawer. I flip it over and start writing on the backside.
Happy birthday Love,
-Ray
I hear the bathroom door open, and I put the drawing away.
"What were you doing?" Emma asked, slightly amused.
"Nothing. Anyways, go downstairs mom is making breakfast," I told her getting up from my desk.
She shrugged it off and went out of my room. I head to my closet to pick out some clothes, and I head to the bathroom to get ready.
I get dressed quickly and head downstairs. I see Emma, Mom, and Jemima talking. My mom is in the living room while the other two are in the dining kitchen eating.
