The sound of one of our phones ringing woke up us both and Ryer hissed when he couldn't find our phones.
"Hallway table." I groaned, shoving a pillow over my head to block the sound.
Ryer got out of the bed and I heard him dash down the hall and pick up the call. I heard him talking on the phone when he came back to the bedroom.
"Sasha, get up. Maddox needs you for a favour."
Every single part of my soul groaned as I forced myself to get up.
"I'll bring Sasha to you in the next hour, I need to caffeinate and feed him," Ryer said chucking.
He hung up the phone, and when I looked at him, I remembered what he said before. I had to look away from him because I had this urge to smile at him. When he set the phone down and sat on the edge of the bed, I groaned loudly into the pillow under my chin.
"This is bullshit."
"Sasha, this is your job."
"Ugh."
"Let's Go."
Ryer pulled me out of the bed and to the kitchen, not leaving me alone in the bed, for the simple fact that I would go back to sleep. I really didn't want to get up. He slid a cup of coffee in front of me and then went to make me breakfast quickly. I watched as he cooked, flipping whatever it was before laying it down on the plate he grabbed. He made toast setting it on the plate, before bringing it to me.
"I just have to grab you a fork."
He walked to get a fork and while he did that; I picked one egg up and set it on my toast before, doing the same with the other egg on the other slice of toast. He turned and sighed, fork in his hand.
"Sorry."
"Nope, No worries." He said, before going to make himself a coffee too.
He sat down and sipped his coffee slowly, I could see the steam rising off the cup. It was still definitely hot. I watched him drink his coffee as I demolished my breakfast.
"What do you have to do today?" I asked softly.
"Depends. Whether or not I feel like working."
"Must be nice." I sighed, standing up.
I needed to get dressed. Walking to the bedroom, I stared into the closet for a good ten minutes before I ran my head through my hair; I wasn't sure what Maddox wanted me dressed for.
"Hey Rye, Can you ask Maddox what he would like me to wear? I'm really not sure."
"You're not cleared for action per se, so sweats and a shirt or sweater should be alright. But I'll text him and find out."
"Thank you."
"Of course, Anytime."
I grabbed a random sweater and then sweats. I was going to need to head to my apartment and get the rest of my clothing; I was pretty limited here to sweaters and sweats. I had so many other pairs of pants and sweaters and jackets and all the fixings. Not to even drag up all the chunks of various electronics I had laying about. Ryer would have a meltdown if he saw my apartment, which I was pretty sure of.
Ryer had plugged my phone in on the counter and made me another coffee, but this one was in a to-go cup. He hadn't eaten breakfast and only had one cup of coffee, so I was pretty sure as soon as I left he was going back to bed. Honestly, I would do the same thing if I was him.
"Ryer, I stealing your flip-flops."
"Ok, that's cool."
His feet were a size or two larger than mine, but they worked to walk in. I grabbed my phone off the counter before I headed out. I sent Maddox a text asking him where he wanted me to go and he told me to meet him at his office. I knew pretty much where his office was, knocking on the door he let me inside.
