Ryer pulled me towards the bathroom with him. It was time to get ready. He grabbed his razor and shaving cream and wet his face before wiping down with the shaving cream. He was getting rid of his slightly longer than five o'clock shadow. It would be back in a few days, but I didn't like him clean shaven. He looked odd. I personally could never go that short. I wasn't a fan of having my face clean shaven. Pulling out my electric shaver, I put the number to guard on. Ryer moved over and shared the sink with me. I trimmed my face in half the time it took him to shave his face.

I watched him finish shaving and frowned. It wasn't the first time he had completely shaved down. He did it regularly, and I was pretty sure by now he knew I wasn't a fan. He reached out and ruffled my hair.

"You're going to need a haircut shortly, its got long since you've been here."

"Yes, this is the longest my hair has been in a while. I'll have to trim it."

I never slick my hair back or anything like that. It just wasn't my style. Ryer and I brushed our teeth and did the rest of our normal morning routines before going to put our suits on. Ryer didn't pull out any ties for us, and that was fine with me.

Once I had my suit on, he adjusted the suit around until he had it the way he liked it on me.

"Are you done?"

"Yes, everything is laying where it should be now."

"Good, Glad to hear it."

I watched as he dressed in less than half the time it took me to put my suit on. You could tell this was normal to him. He knelt down and pulled out a gun case from under the bed. He tucked the handgun into his pants on his hip, closed the case and went to slip his shoes on.

I shook my head as I followed behind him. We weren't all that different, however. I also had weapons in case something happened, but I hid mine under wedding decorations and I told Maddox every single place I had put a weapon. I didn't trust tucking a loaded weapon against my hip.

Ryer and I left our wing, and the halls were busy and it was only eight in the morning. Guests would not show until around twelve in the afternoon. All the activity was all of our own family members, and there were a ton of them on the property, more so today.

Ryer and I had put up a couple of cameras in the main room. Maddox knew they were there, but wasn't the one to suggest we put them up at first. It would allow any of us to see what was going on, even if we weren't in the room. All the underbosses and their partners knew about the camera's, so that they didn't get freaking if they were alone in the room.

Ryer went to do paperwork for an hour or two. While I went to my office to wait until ten am. Neither of us really had much work to do, but we didn't want to be standing around doing nothing for a few more hours on end. I worked on getting more of my computer and software up and running. I kept checking my watch to make sure I wouldn't be late. Right at ten am, I left my office and went to look for Ryer. I figured I would find him in the office he shared with Andrei.

The halls were busy, but it seemed like people moved out of my way pretty quickly, more now than they had before. I wondered if it had something to do with the suit. Maybe this was enough for them to take me seriously.

Ryer and Andrei were just coming up the hallway as I was walking down. Andrei looked me up and down.

"You clean up nice. Looking like a real mafia underboss in that getup." He announced.

"I was thinking the same thing, more so when people moved out my way faster now than they have ever before."

"You're oozing authority now. They have no choice but to move or get stepped on."
