Andrei took Alessio to the airport while he did this, Lukas came and hung out with me in my office. He took the day off to be there for Andrei when he came back. He was clearly worried about Andrei. It was honestly nice to see that, for once, Lukas wasn't neck deep in his work. Andrei was a good thing for him and he for Andrei.
"Sasha, Did you even listen to a damn word I was saying? Or were you wherever in your head?" He groaned.
"Sorry, I honestly didn't hear a word of it. I was thinking about how good you two are for each other."
Lukas' cheeks went a light pink, and he sighed.
"I appreciate that coming from you Sasha, I really do."
"I'm only stating the truth. You bring out the best in each other and none of the worst."
"I think I could say the same for you and Ryer."
"It wouldn't be true, though. We have issues in our relationship. If you can call it that."
"Why would you say that?"
"Ryer and I both have a lot of issues that make this harder. Off the top of my head, Ive never experienced being in love and sometimes I feel slightly out of control with him. I want him like I've never wanted another human."
"Ryer surely can't be bothered by any of that."
"I sure hope not. If he were to leave right now, I'm not sure I could go back to my normal life and be comfortable with it the same way I once was."
"You've got used to him being there."
"Trust me when I tell you that's an understatement."
He smiled to himself before he covered it.
"So, Tell me more about you and Ryer.."
"What do you want to know, Lukas?"
"Who tops? Who bottoms?——"
"Nope. I'm not talking about this with you."
"But Sasha! Come on!"
"God no. We are not talking Ryer and shit this way."
"Was it that bad?"
"I would have to have had it to make that decision." I muttered before I could stop myself.
"Oh, my god. You guys haven't fucked yet? I would have lost my mind if I had to keep my hands off Andrei the way you have Ryer."
"Who says I've kept my hands off of him?"
"Oh, I see."
He left as soon as Andrei got home and came to pick him up from my office. I would have bugged Alexi and Creed, but they were busy with a job, so I actually had to stay in my office and do some work. I flicked some music on in my office, checking my email to see if the police chief, my other boss, had sent me anything to work on.
The email box was empty, and that was pretty depressing for me. Part of me wanted to text Ryer and see what he was up to, but I didn't want to distract him.
I checked all the cameras on the property and made sure they were all running smoothly, and they were. I debated going to look at them all in person for something to do, but first I wanted to check all the house cameras. While checking the one in the medical wing, I witnessed Caleb passing out and hitting the floor.
Standing up, I grabbed my phone and jogged down the hall. The medical wing door was locked, but it opened when I held my phone nearby. Rounding the corner of the hall inside the wing, Caleb was still laying on the floor.
