Katie LaRusso is sitting next to Joey, head on his shoulder as the whole cafeteria is listening to Counselor Blatt blab about the Halloween dance.
"Cyberbullying is no laughing matter. Sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face." Counselor Blatt says and Katie does agree but she knows that no kid would actually listen to her for that.
"I'm not gonna name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity." She says and everyone already knew who she was talking about. Eli.
"The kid right there!"
"The kid with the weird lip."
"Why not just say his name. You literally threw him under the bus already!" Annabelle Lawrence stands up and shouts to the woman but before she could say anything else, her friends pulled her down to her seat.
"This is so dumb," Katie says to Joey, "No one's even listening to her. Everyone's on their phones."
"I know, but we have no choice." Joey answers.
Meanwhile Miguel and Annie try to recruit Eli and Demetri into Cobra Kai, "You know, if you're sick of getting bullied, my karate dojo's looking for recruits." Miguel offers.
"Yeah, right, you hear that, Eli? A little karate training and you're gonna kick some major ass." Demetri sighs sarcastically.
"We're serious, Demetri, all right? My father's the real deal, and I could get you both discounts." Annie adds.
"As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoons playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face." Demetri says and ends the conversation.
"Oh, and one last thing." Counselor Blatt adds, "While we're all looking forward to the Halloween dance, let's make sure our costumes are culturally sensitive. For example, instead of "sexy nurse,"maybe try "gender-neutral hospital employee."
"Aw man, Eli! Now you can't wear the sexy nurse costume I bought you!' Annie jokes and the 4 teens laugh.
Katie notices Aisha talking to Sam. She says something that makes Sam laugh but Yasmine looks confused. But in the end Amber says something and Aisha turns away with a sad look on her face.
So Katie decides to include her.
"Hey Aisha!" Katie calls out and Aisha grabs her chair and sits next to Katie.
"Yeah, what's up?" the girl asks.
"What're you planning on going for Halloween?" Katie asks.
"Well, I just asked Sam if she wanted to go as chloride and I go as Sodium but she already had her costume. What about you?" Aisha asks.
"Well me and Joey are going as Dumb and Dumber. I'm going to be Jim Carrey and he's gonna be Jeff Daniels." Katie says.
"That's a great costume idea! I loved that movie!" Aisha compliments.
