The All-Valley tournament. The final event that would decide which dojo would stay open and which, would shut down for good. The amount of pressure placed on each student entering, was tremendous.
Katie was stressed out of her mind, every moment she had been training for, came down to this.
"Miyagi-Do's, bring it in." Daniel calls out, bringing her out of her thoughts. She stands next to Spencer, listening to Daniel speak.
"Some of you have been here before...and for some of you, it's your first karate tournament. I still remember my first All Valley, where I stood here proudly with my sensei." Katie listens to Daniel say but she zones out, looking at Annie and then Amber.
Katie is brought out of her thoughts as she hears someone shout, "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to begin our skills competition. Up first, Demetri Alexopoulos from Miyagi-Do Karate, who'll be showcasing the kamas."
After Demetri finishes his performance, Katie was up next.
"And now we have Katie LaRusso and Spencer Smith from Miyagi-Do karate, showcasing their skills with the bo."
Katie hears cheers as she and Spencer walk up to the middle of the mats, holding a bo in each of their hands. They had practised this so much, it was built into them at this point.
Katie bows and lets out a breath before bringing the bo to her side.
"Ais!" She sticks the bo out and Spencer stays in a starting position. Katie begins by spinning the bo over her head and then from hand to hand, then Spencer copying her motions and doing the same. Katie gets into a fighting stance as Spencer begins to attack her with the bo. Katie uses her bo to swiftly block all of Spencer's movements and pushes her back, Spencer handing on her knee. Spencer gets up and bows to Katie then both girls bowing to the audience.
"Oh wow! Look at these bonsai badasses!" Daryl shouts as the crowd cheers. "Next up, Miguel Diaz from Eagle Fang karate."

Slowly, a few students from each of the dojos display their skills for the crowd. As of now, Cobra Kai was in first, Miyagi-Do close behind and Eagle fang in third.
"And just like that," Daryl announces. "Miyagi-Do has been snake bit as Cobra Kai takes the lead, with our qualifier rounds up next."
"I can't believe Cobra Kai beat us in skills." Sam complains. "I thought we had that in the bag."
"It's my fault. I couldn't break the last board. Sorry." Eli apologizes, recalling as he could't make the very last kick hard enough to break the board.
"Okay. Forget that, okay? You all did great. We're on their heels. This is far from over." Daniel says.
