2: Best Friends

Lizzie goes to open the door and pauses. "You have got to be kidding me." Everyone gets up and walks to the door so they can see what's going on.

"Surprise"

"No, no, no, nope, nu uh, no." Lizzie is shaking her head . Hope and Zoe flash their eyes when they realize who it is. Josie is just frozen. "You have 0.5 seconds to explain why you're here."

"Good to see you too Lizzie. I will explain, just calm your little puppies down." The person smirks at them which only infuriates Hope more. Lizzie looks back at them and their eyes go back to blue. Hope and Zoe look at each other then at Josie. They notice how still she is and they go over to her. "Jo, you ok?" Zoe asks putting a hand on her shoulder. This snaps her out of her frozen stance.

"Uh what? Oh yeah i'm fine. Totally fine." Zoe and Hope exchange another look and nod as if they read each other's minds. Hope leads Josie to her bed and they both sit down. Zoe walks back to the door and Lizzie quickly grabs her hand, yanks her outside slamming the door behind her.

"Ok, ouch"

"Oh shut it, you're a tribrid get over it" Zoe pouts and remembers why they're even out there. "Explain. Now." Lizzie is basically giving the death stare. "Calm down Saltzman. Look i came to check up on Josie, you know, see how's she's doing." Zoe and Lizzie look at each other then back at the person. They start dying of laughter. The person is just standing there confused. "What's so funny?" They stop laughing. "Oh you were serious? That makes it even more funny." Zoe gets one more giggle in before becoming serious again.

"You're a little late for that Park."

"Yeah Satan, it's been 6 months since you left. Me and the twins have this under control." Lizzie says trying not to be mean. Penelope just stands there for a second before speaking again. "Well can i at least say hi to her?"

Hope is rubbing Josies back and whispering "it's ok" in her ear to try and smooth her. Hope guides her head so it can lay on her shoulder. Josie doesn't resist at all. She closes her eyes and lets herself melt into Hopes embrace. They sit like this for a few minutes then Zoe and Lizzie walk back in.

"What the hell did she want?"

"She wanted to talk to Josie. Of course i wouldn't let her." Hope just nods. She looks down and notices Josies breathing evened out. She slowly gets up, picks her up bridal style and lays her in her bed. Hope then pulls the cover over her and kisses her forehead and says "Goodnight Jo."

"You are so down bad" Lizzie chuckled. Hope ignores her and walks to her dresser to grab something to change into. While she's waking to the bathroom, Lizzie and Zoe walk out the room without a word. Hope doesn't question it and she changes. When she's done she puts her clothes away and gets in bed. When she sits down, Josie shifts and turns so now she's facing Hope's side. Hope slowly slides down and just stares at her.

Josie slowly starts opening her eyes and they meet with Hopes. Her heart rate goes up and she internally screams regretting even getting in the bed in the first place. Josie then smiles to reassure her fine with it. Hope smiles back, then Josie moves a little closer. Still maintaining eyes contact, Hope grabs Josies waist to bring her even closer. She sees Josies eyes flicker from hers to her lips so she does the same. They slowly start moving their heads closer and closer until they are centimeters away from each other. They close the gap and share a slow and passionate kiss. It only lasts a few seconds but they love every bit of it.

"Thank you, Hope." Hope smiles in response then lays a kiss on her forehead. "Anything for you Jo, anything." With those last words, they cuddle together and fall asleep.
