I woke up shivering, the day was chilly even with my brother's trousers and a long sleeve button up. I put the jacket back on, my shoes and socks never got taken off. I grabbed my bag wandering the harbor for work. I don't think I'd get that much work as for how I presented. My hair was long and put into pigtails other than that I'm sure I could pass for a young boy. I found a reflective area on the water and pulled the pair of scissors from my bag. I wrapped the pigtail in my fist, pulling it tightly an snipped. I felt the pressure from the pulling subside as it was left in my hand. I quickly did the same with the other side and straightened it up as best I could. I smiled at the reflection in the water as I'd never cared for my long hair and the new look felt good. I put my scissors back into my satchel and decided to make my way to the square in order to find some work for myself. I feel this as a start of a new beginning.
